I have bought the Clark Custom ones twice, and installed them twice (don't ask). They are super easy, and took a couple minutes to install. Pre-fit is way to go. They fit right on. I just walked over to the local drug store and bought some epoxy. Lil dab on the corner holds it just fine.

Don't fall for the $20 scam on eBay fairing screens.

Get the pre-fit ones. A mere $78

Still a cheap mod you can do and great results. 2nd time I tried to get them from Clark Custom- he had no prescence on eBay. However, found supplier that had quite a few of the Clark Custom ones in stock.

Might have to call these folks to see if they have some in stock. Fella there said they got all of them directly from Clark Custom.

Where do you get the material to do this mod? It gives the bike a sweet look. I would like to do this as a weekend project.

You can either buy the precut screens from eBay or someone on the board that sells them (I can't remember who) or you can buy some APC screen from an Auto Parts store or gutter screen from Lowe's or Home Depot. Price goes down with each option you choose, but quality is about the same. Get some snips and Red Goop and go to it! Not hard at all.

I just finnished putting my screens on a week ago. I used one of the board members ideas that really helped. I tacked the screen down, once I cut it and formed it to size. I used a soldering gun (if thats what it is called) and tacked it with jewelry solder in about five spots. Then I used a heat resistant fast setting epoxy. Each screen took a tube. I still have a couple of screens, the small ones, to do yet, but they look great.

I have a web address for the screen mod,i did not order from here or have any info on this place but the write up on them seems good.Hope this will help the lazy(self included).

yep, I can put my dunce hat on because I have done it twice. I got the stuff from a rice shop and cut it and fitted it, tack hammer worked well for shaping. I went red grills first off but they looked pink in the sunshine. They had to go. Silicone worked a treat, they were hard to get off, so no problems with strength. Try two was with chrome. They look good and go with everything, very natural. Picture doesn't do them justice, I wasn't aiming at the screens at the time, i just cropped the pic. Was I the only one to do the lowest openings? Maybe i should have shut up about that. lol.

I bought a set of preformed screens from "rpm9001" last fall and finally got around to installing them last evening. Having endured an hour or two of frustration while trying to unsuccessfully form my own screens last summer, all I can say is that it was the best $39 I ever spent! They fit perfectly and look great - I highly recommend his screens.

What? Three pages, and hardly any pics?

basic epoxy from hardware store and a small amount of duct tape was the trick to hold it on while drying.

Epoxy??? Come on guys.... soldering iron and small flat screwdriver to hold it in, just like from the factory on nose grills.

It took a few hours and a couple cuts, but 8 screens for $2.80 and 1/2 tube of clear silicon it was worth it. I'll post pics later this week, but turned out like any others you'll see.
