Fall Bash 2008 Sept 26th-28th

One thing I have never really gotten into was cooking chili. I will eat it though...

Last batch I made was sweet and spicy because I am the only one in my house that east anything that brings tears to the eyes...

I suppose I could be forced to cook chili.

Well I guess since nobody said "NO" we can throw this out there.  I set up BashFoodFund@GrumpysGarage.net for the PayPal account.  We have not got anything else nailed down yet but whatever shows up there will go towards the group meals such as prebuying the burgers or chicken or steak etc...

I don't know if we are keeping donations anonymous for the regular meals and just looking to list the people that buy in on the higher end steak meal???  Any money that hits the glass jar is not kept track of or listed and we feed whomever shows...

Randy, John, Anyone...?

I will either post what hits there with or without names, somebody put some thought into this.  If you do donate please include your ORG name so we know who you are.

I was waiting to talk to Doug about shirts (probably skip this for Fall bash but for sure on Spring Bash)

Standard Fare prices will include meals for all nights selected

Costs: $10 per night will allow us a great menu
Friday nights bash we are going to make available a 1" 16 ounce New York Strip it will be an additional cost unfortunately but well worth the price...

I would prefer holding off on anonymous donations until we get the form up..

Ok thanks for whomever already pinned the food page... (nothing sneaks by here)

ALL FUNDS and Expenditures are going to be available for review by anyone that wants to see them...

The order page will be open until September 14, 2008... we will likely "over purchase" by around 10% to cover people that did not pre register for food... This is just due to the amount of food we need...

There is also a "Donation" link that you can use if you are just kicking in for anyone that can not afford full fare... no one goes hungry..... (well for sake of funding anyway, if you are dieting, not our problem)

I will just whip up my 13 pepper salsa, stir in some beef and extra tomato and some kidney beans. If anyone can eat more than 3 bites their Arse is gonna be broken and boil the bowl when they sit down

I will pass... spicy yes, miserable no...

this would not be a "burn down" contest or I can bring some of the world famous "Indiana Chili peppers" (only to be outdone by the "Ghost" chili pepper) both of which are way beyond my tolerance for pain

It is NOT cheating.  All chili comes from somewhere.  Besides...you never follow directions anyway.  Therefore it would not be cheating to begin with.

Chili cook off....  we could probably do 2-4 teams?   I think we actually have enough "real" cooks to pull off a great dinner like this..  Do it Saturday night along with leftovers?  (leaves everyone to live with their own on Sunday for the ride home

)   If we could get a sponsor to put up some gift certificates or incentive?  

anyone care to take on this project?
