Financing through Suzuki

Does anyone know how strict susuki is on financing. When I bought my harley, I learned harley would almost finance anyone. With a credit score over 700 I dont see a prob, but was wondering what people have thought of there finacing restrictions.

650 or better buddy!
The dealer I bought mine from said if you have a credit score of 649 and want to put down $10,000 on an $11,000 bike, Suzuki wouldn't finance you. Not saying dealers are the most honest people, but that's what I was told.

rates aren't that good... think they start at 9.9%, then 13.5% then 18.9 up to something stupid like 27.9%

They are ok to deal with, I've had mine with them but I'm paying it off early next month

I think a credit union or similar will beat the rate.

Yeah, the intro rate seems good but it doesn't last forever - usually a year and then it's back to a variable APR. They approve fast and on the spot, take the bike home and if you can't make other arrangements thru bank, credit union, etc... keep an eye on the offers in the mail. I turned mine into a fixed 2.9 and I don't use the card - just pay the same amount every month like a loan regardless of the minimum payment. BE SURE to read the fine print first - some of these companies are getting very sneaky... Call, ask lots of questions if you need to - then you can sign up on-line for the quickest response. Some will say it's too risky but I've done it twice with no problems - both times they gave me a higher limit than I was asking for but I'm not falling for that one!

I got my '07 through Suzuki, I get the intro rate for 24 months, I figure I will pay it down and then refinance it through my bank in about a year. If you do go through Suzuki, be sure to check for when the intro rate ends, the regular rate is super high and get it either paid off or refinanced before then. Just a through.

I went through my credit union back home and got 4.5% on a new bike. My 07 Busa in fact. Some banks won't finance 100%, so if you're short on some down money then you might have to find another way. My credit union finances 100% but I firmly believe in putting as much down as you can safely afford without strapping yourself.

Find an alternative other than Suzuki...there's a reason why those $69-99 mo. payments look so great at first.

Oh, and don't forget to hit State Farm up for insurance. To get the good rates you'll have to bring at least one car over as well. And actually SF gave me a better car rate than I had before w/out the bike. Of course since then I took out a $1,000,000 liability policy w/ SF which requires $250k/$500k coverage...still not that bad.

SF already has my car, and mortgage. I called them and a 07 busa with 250 deductable would be 33 dollars a month f/c.

What rates would your bank or credit union give you?

With a credit score over 700 go to any bank around. They will be glad to get your business.
