First 9 sec run

Folks

Thanks for the advise between Brown and Ludi going back and forward. I keep the throttle pinned WO and speed shift through the clutch. Tired to blip the throttle and shifte like everyone is saying I didn't feel comfortable doing it or it I was doing it right, but I guess I need to try it more. Couple guys here was telling me the same thing. How far do I have to roll out the throttle before shifting. ??? Again thanks.

I thought you had it figured out. At least we are keeping your thread alive.....
You don't roll out of the throttle at all. Preload the shifter, and twitch your wrist. It will shift. remember to release pressure on the shift lever before preloading it for the next gear. You can practice the technique at lower speeds, doesn't have to be wot.

Believe it or not, it is easier at high rpms like you would be doing at the track.

I hold pressure up on the shift lever and like Jeremy said, twitch your wrist.......

The 1-2 was tricky at the track, I had to stage with one foot on the ground.......

Just take your left foot and start pre-loading the lever before the shift; as soon as you are ready to shift slightly and I mean very slightly roll off the throttle. The bike will go into the next gear without any effort, then re-apply WOT! Like said earlier, easy to do without being at WOT. You could always just get an air shifter and hit your horn button though :thumbsup:

The air shifter is coming just at the moment current contract is about to expire and momma isn't letting me spend ANY extra money. I went down 1 tooth in the front how many do you recommend going up in the back on that GEN II? I can tell a difference with the one tooth. My only thing is I ride on the street all the time and changing the gears will keep my RPM's real high and throw off my odometer.

I could not advise on personal experience since I have a Gen 1. I have rode mine from Fort Benning, Ga to Fort Campbell, Ky with a 16-42t. Speedo said 90-100mph the whole trip.

From Benning to Campbell you are a true soldier. I can't ride that long my back would be gone. I rode mine from Rockingham, NC back to Augusta and had to stop in Columbia. With the one tooth down in the front my speedometer is off about 4 mph, and I notice my RPM's are sligthly higher in each gear. But the throttle response is there, in any gear. Maybe if I had deployed again I would be able to have "some stuff under the hump" on mine. Stay low, GONE

Hey Brother,
I actually set the goal to ride through the mountains in Iraq while deployed during OIF 6-7. It was my way of blowing off some steam. You know how it is over there and you have time to think up stuff like that............

Get a speedohealer. It'll fix your odometer/speedometer. Talk to smithabusa. He's where I got mine. Very easy to install.

I can feel you. When I was in OK I used to ride through the wildlife reservation to clear my head. No phone signal and very few cars so you could just enjoy the ride. Had to watch out for the wildlife.

Sound's like Brown and Ludi are going to go at it.They both ride good,Will be interesting to see who comes out Top Dog..Should be fun to watch..I will try and egg it on a little bit..Maybe I will call Billy and let him in on it..Then It would be really good!
