With the traffic in NC everytime I'am there, how did you speed in a 55
wink.gif
? When I go to NC and the speed limit is 55, everyone is doing 70 and will run you over OR they are so packed that more than 55 would be impossible

Bruh, it was so easy! I went around a car with a tail wind behind me and ran right into Johnny Law! I'm not sure how fast I was. It happened so quick!!!

The laws may have changed, but 30 years ago in NC a resident had their license yanked on the spot for 15 over.

Hmmm, interesting. I had a dream a unmarked cop pulled me over last night. He got out and looked like he was 12 years old. I thought WTF then woke up...?

Get an attorney. Pay them the $50-80 (plus court fees), and then it doesn't affect your insurance.

Yeah my only speeding ticket on the Busa was 100 in 65. That was last year. But luckily that + 4 other BIG charges got dismissed

I have at least 5-6 big offenses of each on my 'record' but I still have my liscense with no points taken off. But I'm all legal now, have been for a while. Ther MUST be someway they know Authority is in your family, because I don't see how else.

Either way don't mean to thread jack, yes your ticket could have been worse it seems, that is nothing to sweat though, good luck

I hear this all the time from the board memebers out side of CA but never from any one in CA. I just paided my 95 in a 70 ticket on line for $280. Never saw a judge or lawyer. Why does everyone go get a lwayer, are lawyers cheaper outside of CA?

(dadofthree @ Apr. 12 2007,12:14) Do they still seize your license for greater than 15 over

My last was 77/55. I have had a few over 80 without problems.

NCpanther was it in Cumberland county? It will probably be worth your time to get a lawyer. Works like a champ for me so far.

Not to jack the thread, but..

The reason for it in NC is...a lawyer can get you "improper equipment" or equivalent. That means no insurance or license points. Ergo, no increase in insurance cost.

I also do it because it costs me more to take the day off work, than to pay the lawyer to go to court for me. An added bonus.

You can have your thread back now.
