By no means an expert. Only experienced doing the late apex turning. Cause it affords some early warning. The lines put you out of harms way of on coming traffic. It also is similar to squaring the corners used by racers with high power race bikes. They want to get the turning part over with in shortest amount of time. Straightened up quickly to use some of the HP during the straight sections.
Learning to control high side tendencies of a bike while braking during cornering is useful skill to have. Something around the corner, could be a surprize. Learned this skill on another bike, the busa doesn't force upright as hard as it did, so it's easier to control. A cordination act of shifting weight and extra counter steer to counter the forces of bike wanting to straighten up. Using the front brake exclusively, putting weight on outside peg and sitting back helps the lessening traction of the rear tire during braking. Very light controlled, gradual corrections and applying the brake. Takes some practice, doing it wrong will run you wide out of a corner.
Noticed with my limited experience, something unique with the Busa. Spinning the rear wheel, and I don't even know it. Only when shifting a gear does the rear catch traction with a Jolt as a reminder. In otherwords Busa drifts real nice through corners

I rode my 02 at roeblin road, GA in oct. I loved it. But I did make a small mod to mak it flick better......I machined a shorter set of of rear links (dog bones). about 1/4 inch shorter, it raised the back the back end up about 1/2 inch. It take some trail away & increases swing arm angle, plus my gearing is now 16/42..... major fun going to work & on the track......

IF I WAS GOING TO GIVE YOU ONE PIECE OF ADVICE IT WOULD BE TO CHECK AIR PRESSURE AND WARM UP TIRES BEFORE ANY SERIOUS LEANING BEGINS,
THE BUSA IS SO STABLE IT WILL DRAG BODY PARTS BEFORE YOU CAN UPSET IT,(WITH CONSTANT THROTTLE)
AND I LIKE TO SPIN THE TIRE UP COMING OUT OF CORNERS
GET THAT A@# TO COME AROUND QUICKER. IF YOU DONT WANT IT TO SPIN RUN HIGHER GEARS,YOU WILL PROBABLY MAKE BETTER TIME THAN FOOLIN AROUND ANYWAY.
