May be a thread hack, but we are really talking about what causes inflation and gas prices has a big impact.

I own a cabinet business.

Bidenomics, when he tells you how well the economy is doing.

January 2022 we could do all the cabinetry in the average 2,200 sq ft house for around $12,000.

Today, that same house it would be around $27,000 for the same thing. Last year alone there must have been at least four industry price increases, they added things like an inflation allowance, as well as fuel surcharges. We represent eight different manufacturers as their distributors, and it is across the board.

I feel sorry for the young American couple who on top of student loans, has to buy a house. That part of the American dream is gone.

Hmm

Bidenomics? I go by what I spend at the grocery store, Partzilla, Lowe's or what have you. I certainly haven't seen prices triple since '22.
The pandemic changed things, fairly drastically, but the calming trend continues. It's the people that drive the economy, and we're a feisty bunch.

Interest rates, inflation and the value of the Dollar, as well as energy costs for transportation of goods. All linked together. Then there is the supply and demand equation, if too much money is printed and demand increases out of balance with supply, prices increase.

In my industry, mortgage rates at close to 2.5% in 2021, enabled by the Fed, caused an imbalance between supply and demand, why building material prices tripled. While the rate of increase is now much slower, where I live we still see massive demand, because folks who are totally disillusioned with Democratic cities are escaping California and New York and moving here.

Hi. We can not blame Biden for hight gas prices as all the costs going up is [as we all know] Trump's fault. It eas just the other day I was putting gas in my 55 Chevy for $24.9 a gal.
Ever watch a traffic jam on the freeway from above? It looks like a worm. In 2020, demand slowed to a crawl. By '22 the demand came back, creating a bottle neck with the by now lowered availability. It's ebb and flow. Blaming or crediting a U.S. president makes no sense.

Our gas tax of two cents a gallon was approved by the voters in 1923. On July 1st the combined excise, federal and state tax per gallon will be about a buck thirty. State tax is highest, much higher than federal and our tax money is supposed to go directly to maintaining our roads. Surprising to me at least, texas uses over twice the amount of natural gas than California. Per capital, WY and ND use the most. Combined though they only have about a million and a quarter residents. About what San Jose Ca. has.
