Fuel running issues on new gen3.

Recently I had my 2022 busa in for a running issue, it ran rough when cold , could smell fuel like it was flooding, when warm it ran rough ( sluggish throttle response) at low and mid range acceleration. After doing the 12k service where plugs were replaced with new ones, the problem continued, after a week it was diagnosed with a fuel sensor fault causing more fuel to be pumped into the injectors than required. It turned out that the sensor was faulty and there was problems with the fuel mapping. All covered under warranty. Point of not from Suzuki nz is that the gen3 runs richer than the previous models, running a high octane fuel especially if ethanol is added may cause running issues, so check with your respective shop/ mechanic and always ask your gas station when and how often they do a " water check " on their bowsers as required by laws applicable to your country, as its possible that water may get in to the tanks.cheers team ride hard
Good morning from South Africa.
I have a 2023 Gen 3 with over 36000kms run so far. I had exactly the same problem that Mike describes above. No ECM fault codes were recorded so the dealer could not diagnose the issue formally.
The problem was put down to sticky fuel injectors possibly after fuelling with petrol contaminated with water.
The solution was:
1] Change to a different fuel supplier- in this case I went from Engen [our local Mobil brand] to Shell. Our fuel is 95 octane unleaded.
2] Used 3 cans of Motul Boost and Clean fuel additive initially and now use 2 cans/month .
3] Always cover the bike with a blanket and cover overnight in the garage [use the bike every day to work]

That was over 2 months ago without the problem being repeated, so I would say its solved.
PS never had this problem with my previous Busa's or ZX14R's.

I am having the exact same problem. 16 000km when it started. Had it serviced at 17 400km hoping it's a dodgy spark plug, but problem persists. Using only 95 octane pump petrol. Local Suzuki still trying to figure it out along with Suzuki South Africa. Will be keeping an eye on this thread in the hopes that someone in the world reports when and how they were able to fix the issue.
Good morning from Cape Town.
See my post of today.

I never posted an update on mine. They found that the secondaries injectors even after cleaning were not opening properly. They ended up checking all secondaries and 2 failed, they changed them and put new spark plugs in and everything has been good.

Wow, yay...how many more problems can the Gen3 possibly have?
What a fantastic pos it's becoming.
From reading here, it seems that most everyone has experienced some sort of Gen3 problems, from small hiccups, to the more major issues.
And with 2017 being the last new Gsxr1000(2024 is still the same model), and the Gen2 ending in 2019 or 2020...Suzuki has made nothing new, good, or exciting since.
Suzuki was always my life long favorite, and I've owned many, but their motorcycle division has surely gone to ****.
EPA and Euro5 and Euro6 are obviously killing things off...but 4 model years of a Gen3...and All suffer from one to 10 of The Same issues...nah...the Suzuki motorcycle company is now clearly run by incompetent people who could care less.
Those people are there for a paycheck...and a paycheck that will soon be gone at this rate.
I love the Gen1 and 2 Busas and Gsxr's, as well as this site, but, I am otherwise done with Suzuki.
I came so close a few times to getting a new Gen3...and am so glad that I didn't...no part of me could spend $20k+ and end up with a bike full of problems...I'de literally be in jail.
I feel sorry for anyone whose gotten the run around from dealers on these things.
And to anyone whose dealer actually worked with and fixed their Gen3's, wow, post the dealership...as by the sound of it there must be 5 or 10 decent ones left in the world...
And, there's Always the hope that some idiot at Suzuki reads this, and is upset by it, lol, what are the odds?
They simply don't care.
Any company that takes 2 model years to even address failing brakes, and Still have reports of issues...is garbage in my book
Rant over
