Funny...Raced an R1 tonight

Went riding the twisties this morning, there was the Busa, 05 1000RR (repsol), 05 ZX12R, 07 GSXR 600, a Honda V-Twin, and yep a 07 R1. We met at the gas station before going into Lake Mead recrerational park. Two of the riders I work with (RR and ZX12R) the other three I met today, the guys on the GSXR and the R1 was stating how the R1 could easily pull on the Busa (mind you it was not in a tuanting way, they were just stating facts)! This is where the rider comes in because I had no problem in the straights or the twisties, in fact they were dead last the whole ride, and they tried to get on it! They were very surprised at how the Busa handled in the twisties. I have no doubt the R1 can pull on the Busa but the rider has to be able to perform too.

Actually I have to dissagree with you. Stock to stock a Busa will pull an R1 assuming both riders weigh the same and have equal ability. The busas torque and horsepower curve is very broad. The R1 or for that matter the other liter bikes only you have to rev the $hit out of them.
