Gen 3 first service.....

So I have first 3 services for free. What all is done on first service other than oil and filter? Do you have to use the suzuki oil? I've always used motul 7100. What's the concensus on this?

Well my bike has been due now for its first service for over a week. Guess I will ride to Bartlesville Saturday morning and get that done. What do they do on the first service other than oil? I will do my own from this point foward but they asked me to bring it back for this service.

I had that arguement with my dealer..I said, hey turn off my service light, he said I gotta do first service..I said, I did it, with synthetic oil I use, and go ahead and bill suzuki for 1st service, I'm ok with that, been trading with this guy 20 yrs, ...he said, they have to, and dump my fresh oil, and put the suzuki sh*t in it..I said nope, he said, wont turn light off, I called suzuki, they sent me the service switch free, (new model, I have older version) I turned light off, and told dealer go fu*k himself..literally.

PS..to get a good idea of that, in 2017, i bought a gsx-s-f 1000 there, in 2018, a gsxr1000r, in 2019, new kaw 450 dirt bike, in2020, h2sx se+, and now the busa..sound like I was treated as a valued customer??

Ah yes, the revered 'oil thread' you will get a lot of different answers as everyone has their personal oil choices..

I use Amsol or Royal Purple...which ever is on sale.

Depends on if Anyone competant works there or not.
As if they screw it up, they have to fix it...but is that who you want fixing it too?
Too many dealers here with bad reps and half-ass 'mechanics'

I’ll use my “first 3 free cards” but will do an oil change in between as the second is scheduled for 4k… something like that. I’m old school and usually go 3k between services

I agree with six...dont need some moron breaking ANYTHING..bought a new bike to have new, not rebuilt new..YOU are your best service person..if ur not comfortable, get a manual, and learn..will benefit you and ur bike

I gotta say I’m the opposit, I can do all the services, but I trust my dealership completely, they have some real good mechanics that have been around for years, already had the 1st free service done and I’ll use them for the next 2 free services also, Suzuki gave it to us, I’m gonna use them, that’s of course if you have a good working relationship with your dealer.

Well they do good service, they don’t like to deal on bikes/sxs/quads I usually have to travel for deals on new stuff, Oklahoma for the busa,
