Gen II, could this design have been any worse~?~

Think this is basically what I was talking about. Just used to replace the line on the side.

Fully muzzy exhaust I don't have to remove the line but I have to loosen the oil cooler and it can slide out the front. 1st time it made me miss the stock exhaust though.

Which muzzy do you have? I can get my filter out without any problems!

3 Oil Changes Now and I have NEVER Removed the Fairing

The only reason the fairing has to be removed in my opinion is simply to remove this line...if the filter would fit through my header I would be able to get it out of the fairing without removal...

all i did was just take off the black bracket that u see in the pic with a 10mm socket just one of the nut and bend it out off the way.

SS lines might be an idea since the flex line would go between the header tubes and might touch...I emailed Brocks to see if this kit would be safe on the lines if it rests against the header tube or very close to it.

I looked at the filter relocator and I believe on the GEN II I would have to use flex lines anyway because it looks like it would angle the filter right into the hard OEM line and I still would not be able to squeese it past when removing the filter.

I believe the first kit I looked at might melt if going through the header tube to the cooler...

I think first thing I'm going to do though is go with the studs and nuts and will probably stick with that for a little while.

Don't worry it's not specific to the Gen 2. Same problem with the Gen 1.

Just toss the oil cooler all together to help solve some of the problems.:beerchug:
The one thing I fail to understand with some of the kits is that the lines have AN fittings on the end. Why don't they just machine the adapter with a male AN fitting on them. In the least they could have tapped the adapters with an AN thread pitch so you don't have to use NPT to AN adapters. :banghead:

How long does it take you guys to change your oil? I've never changed my own oil in my Busa, always paid a shop to do it. But I'm getting sick of paying them $70 to do it! But, I'll embarassingly admit that I can't even figure out how to get my damn fairings off. And now I'm reading this PITA about the oil filters. Just curious if it's worth learning to do this myself, or keep paying the shop to do it.

On such a well thought out motorcycle...

I cringe everytime I have to take this little oil line off to remove my oil filter. I cringe because I have to wonder will this be the day I see threads coming out of that poor aluminum when I tighten it back up. Lock tight to keep it snug, don't want another mishap do we~?~

It looks to me like this could have been placed a little better~!~ Because of this little life line we have to remove the entire side fairing (or at least take it loose) to get the filter out...
I know what you mean i stripped the bottom one and retaped it and was good no leaks went up one size bold on the bottom.
