Gen1 forgotten??

I have a Gen-1, Gen-2 engined B-King and a Gen-3. There is a difference but it’s not huge, there’s no dinosaur to starship improvements, the ‘22 model is really only a slow evolution of the original ‘99. I’ve had a few Kwaks too, when I jumped on a H2 SX it felt very “different”, even after predominately riding the Kwak over my Suzuki’s when I jumped on a Gen-3 it had a very familiar feel. Sure it’s a bit more refined and advanced but in some ways it was very much déjà vu of jumping on my new 2004 Gen-1 18 years earlier. I have never been a fan of the Gen-1’s “6 plop” brakes, to me that’s more stand out difference, the brakes have progressed over the years more than most of the bike.

Try and get a go on a Gen-1, I’d love to hear your views.
Thanks for sharing that info. That's reassuring. I always rode in the past mostly with 'Busa riders, but I've never been the type of person to ask to do bike tradesies.

I baby my bikes even when going hard. I'm very conscious and intentional of what I do to them. I don't want anyone manhandling my bikes while I baby theirs.

My 04 is and will forever be my favorite!

Hi. It looks realy good. What class or classes do you run in? Will you be running in fuel class too?
Thanks But trus me the bodywork does not look good, it is a 50 footer for sure. I remeber the guy taking the pic. We were waiting cause car in front that just ran thought he may have oiled track Whole time he was setting up the picture I was more nervous about the photo than the upcoming run

Which was 217 still tuning HEHEHEHE so much more to go WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

I am still longing for the day I have my Gen1 back together and running like it use to. The only upgrades I am interested in is a Gen 2 fork system and brakes though my stock brakes have always served me well. I have been known to "texture" my front rotors and even though brake pads don't last as long... who cares? My 2 finger braking is excellent!
Here is one of my favorite Gen 1s to admire as well as the top Pro Stock driver named Dave Shultz.
