Generation 3 busa inquiry

Have had no other issues except hot start, if no obvious reason , then any problem is covered by the warranty ( 2 year ). Will watch to see how and when it occurs to look for any consistency in it. But will inform Suzuki nz of what I notice. Cheers
Further information in regards to " hot start" issues, Suzuki in 2008/9 had a factory recall on many gen2 hayabusa due to the problem with the regulator rectifier, apparently it was the lead cause of guess what? Hot start issues. Food for thought if that is still the villain

I get to wonder just how long it will take Suzuki to issue a TSB to sort out these issues?

Even if they are happening to a small percentage, they are still happening and some sort of correction needs to be addressed.

If I owned a brand new bike and had any one of these issues, I'd be beyond pissed...

Suzuki Inc. like many other manufacturers count on the buying public to do their R&D. Apparently it’s cheaper than doing it themselves.

I'm not so sure....what are the other manufacturers doing I wonder?

I know there are TSBs for other bikes but the manufacturer issues those when there is a fix or a potential fix....Suzuki seems to be not tracking these issues..

What happens when you disconnect the harness? Cause if it's just a warning light on the dash I will gladly do an ABS delete. The only problem is nobody makes non-ABS lines so you have to get the bends and lengths custom made. Core-moto does a great job with kits, I've installed their lines on two of my bikes with no complaints maybe they will do custom orders I don't know?!?!?
When you disconnect the abs unit it puts the bike into a limp mode and it has zero power.

I had Core Moto make me custom lines. Part of the custom part is because I have Brembo master cylinders. I cut and removed all of the factory hard lines and left the unit plugged in.

No first hand experience other than my Kawasaki. It was a new ‘18 bought in ‘18. At 4,000 miles the ABS rotor on the front gave up and was replaced under warranty. The replacement was slightly different, having a lip around the edge which had to make it stronger. No issues since in another 20,000 miles in all weathers. I’ve heard of several replacement parts from as many brands being ‘new and improved’ which indicates to me that the buying public is doing the R&D not the manufacturers.

I haven’t had any hot starting issues and the brake fade issue has apparently fixed itself. Been a very long time since it last happened.

Unless these replacement part companies are getting improved specs from the manufacturer, I can't see them listening and spending money on re-jigging on the "say so" of an individual unless it is someone like Brock Davidson or something....

I updated one of the "Brake Fade" threads. Suzuki sent a new Front Master Cylinder with the lever attached and the dealer installed it. I haven't had the problem again, so far.
The weird hot-start still comes and goes, but I'll assume that a new (lithium) battery will solve it.

Do you still have the old master cylinder?
Or did you exchange it?
If the problem doesn't come back, then the exact cause could be found, possibly a casting flaw, likely a pit in the bore, or a slightly larger i.d or out of round feature near the beginning of the stroke, which on rare occasion, with normal seal flex allows allows air in.
But, it would still be strange that this wouldn't over time cause a spongey lever feel, but then again, of course brakes will still work with air in the fluid.
Had Suzuki corporate had any sense, they would have requested the old MC?
Did they?

In re: “I lost my entire warranty after my first 800 miles.”

Why, how?
Brocks Alien Head 2
Sprint F1
Pair/EVAP delete
Woolich unlock & tune
Ceramic wheel bearings
Carbon Smith stacks
Woolich QS kit

That basicly did it. Went from tamed missle to snappy feeling liter bike kind of feel. Hard to explain unless you do it. Stock wheelbase honestly makes it very wheelie happy on accident, anything over 7k the front wheel wants to meet god. I don't want to meet god yet.
