Getting odd feedback to buying this Busa...

I mean aside from it being a 1st generation bike. I am hearing comments like its a "sporty" touring bike and not a true sport bike. I hear its nothing more than a Katana because of where the R is in the name. Overwhelmingly I hear the bike is bulbous and ugly.

Where did all the anomosity come from with these bikes?

The people that you are talking about the busa do they own one or are they going by hear say, I've had the gen 1 and I got a gen 2, I love em both, this coming from a former ZX11 owner.

The Hayabusa is a true sport bike. It makes gobs of power when modified and it handles and brakes well. There is no other bike on the market that has so many accessories;it is one of the most customized bikes too. There is a lot of jealousy out there. Long live the King

Couldn't you find a Gen2 :dunno:

Don't listen to the haters...Gen2 is a better bike, but which ever one you get...YOU WILL LOVE IT :beerchug:

I thought its classification was SUPER SPORT BIKE a class almost by itself, except for Brand X.

I love it when I blow by squids on "sport bikes" in the twisties

Who exactly are you hearing this from. I assure you its not a Busa owner.

Great article. Thanks!

Yes, its non Busa riders saying this. Mostly other Gixxer riders.

She is sexy, curvy, and has more raw power than should be lawful. I could go on and on , but let's just say I don't think you'll find a better bike ...

jealousy makes others say some awful things sometimes, don't let them bother you :beerchug:

The Hayabusa isn't a sport bike. It's a Hyper Bike! It smashed the standards of all bikes in the sport category when it was released. It took a few years for anyone to catch back up. Kawi had to build a bigger motor just to compete.

If any more SS riders give you garbage, ask them to join you on a 300 mile day ride. Make it through some good sweepers. If they go, they will be sorry. You will be too comfortable to care about them.

Take it from the people who own and ride them, you can't wrong with a Busa, GenI or GenII. It's like owning an exotic sports car, it commands attention.

its called penis envy....

anyways, lots of guys will say things....but few have ever ridden one. gsxr's owners are the funniest.

i have a 07 busa and a 08 cbr600rr i have no intentions of getting rid of either of them. for me they are 2 different animals i enjoy the heck out of both of them. i had a 600 katana the only resemblance to the busa is weight. i think there is about 20 pounds difference between them based on the specs. spend your money on what you like im willing to bet you will not be disappointed with a busa! genI or genII
