Getting odd feedback to buying this Busa...

:rofl: a BUSA is nothing more than a KATANA!!:rofl::rofl::rofl:
Actually, I think the Busa is quite a bit like the 600 Katana, at least in dimensions and handling, they are very similar bikes. The Busa isn't even all the much heavier than the 600 Katana. Here are some specs I pulled from Bikez.com

2005 Katana 600
wheelbase 57.9"
dry weight 458.6

2005 Hayabusa
wheelbase 58.5
dry weight 478.4

They didn't have the rake and trail figures, but from having owned both, they handle very similarly. The Busa has much better suspension, somewhat better brakes, and approximately 6,328.1 times as much power!

COP- who told you all that non-sense? probly guys with "little" bikes. Next time they start talkin nasty just jingle your keys, that usually distracts those people.

Well, as the owner of a GSXR750 and soon to be owner of a Gen 1 Busa I can honestly say that I won't miss the sore knees and ankles and I look forward to being able to spend more than 2 hours riding and not having any pain or discomfort. I have done some race school time and track days and I love my Gixxer but I really want to be able to ride someplace that is 500km away without paying a big price. Plus the Busa is beautiful and awesomely powerful...I may have to give up slaloming the sewer covers on my local streets but I have so much more to look forward to.....

I mean aside from it being a 1st generation bike. I am hearing comments like its a "sporty" touring bike and not a true sport bike. I hear its nothing more than a Katana because of where the R is in the name. Overwhelmingly I hear the bike is bulbous and ugly.

Where did all the anomosity come from with these bikes?

Sound's like some hater's to me, It,s a true sportbike I used to have a
