When I was a kid growing up in Alaska it was not unheard for people to leave cars running all night long to stop the oil from turning into Jello at -40f. My dad had block heaters and battery blankets on his VW's to keep em alive as I recall.

I haven't done anything quite like that but i've done things like left my boots at home (30 miles away) and hubby had to bring them to base for me, accidentally put the milk/butter in the microwave instead of the fridge, run into the door WHILE trying to open it because some doors are a little harder to open and I underestimated them... BUT I'm not blonde anymore so I"m good to go! Oh shoot, misspelled something, where's my white-out....
