Good luck Lt.

Just a friendly reminder...

Org Rule #1

1) Abusive and vulgar language is prohibited. Any attempt to modify the actual word or convey the meaning of such that is deemed inappropriate by the Administrators and Moderators of this board is prohibited.

ALLEDEGY he has a million dollar warrant out for his arrest that ws signed by a judge.

once again. innocent people dont run from the police. GUILTY people do all the time tho. ya feel?

I don't know what alledegy is.. It is alleged that he killed three people and allegedly burned his vehicle in the forest, also he is allegedly the person who tried to steal a boat in the San Diego harbor or somewhere in the SoCal area. Other allegations state that he lied about a suspect's being kicked in the head by a cop who allegedly did so during an arrest. Ya feel?

My bad, I admit that the heated nature of this very interesting constitutional discussion is partly the cause of my faux pas. :beerchug:

lol yea I feel ya.... well, based on his current behavior he will either be killed by LE or he will eat his gun and save tax payers quite a bit of money. I could really care which he choses.

it would not surprise me if they never find him. personally, I think he ate his gun and is being carried off by coyotes as we speak....

being terminated was apparently the right decision cause his current behavior as a whack-job only confirms his lack of credibility at his hearing but the LAPD chief has re-opened the case so I guess we will have to see where it goes.

Like I said previously, I don't believe in a bounty. Given he is accused of shooting cops, law enforcement all across this country is highly motivated to catch, stop (or for some, shoot) him. And, if he continues with the same thing he's doing now, it's most likely shoot vs. catch.

Use of any other asset except law enforcement (you mention Navy) might be considered a violation of posse comitatus. And no, me( now a private citizen) nor any 'bounty hunter' has no business in this. And using an ARMED drone to go after him would also be a violation of his rights as a citizen, regardless of what he's done. Looking for him with FLIR which could be done from a drone or helicopter is an entirely different story.

You apparently think this is a huge conspiracy, that the LAPD has fabricated all this, that someone else (the LAPD too?) shot and killed the officer's daughter and her fiance to pin it on this guy, somehow also doctoring a phone call where he taunted the grieving dad (or, dad's in on it and making it up too). Sorry, don't buy it that's too big a conspiracy to ever pull off without it eventually getting out. If he had good enough a greivence, he would have had no problem finding a lawyer who would pro bono take the LAPD to court. But instead, he ALLEGEDLY chose this path.

IF, as you claim, this guy is innocent of all these charges, then he'd better quickly find a lawyer and a reporter to turn himself in with, with someone filming the entire time. Or he's dead meat. This isn't Qatar, and no he's not going to get wisked away to 'rendition'. Too many people watching for that to happen the ACLU will be watching, AL Sharpton will soon enough make a huge racism statement (and for the record I could care less if he's black or white). He'll get his trial. But any wrong or greiveance he has WON'T MATTER once it's proven he murdered INNOCENTS.

But, let's say for giggles that it's TRUE that he shot this police officer's daughter, fiance and attacked the other officers.. If so then your statement: "Lt. Dorner is a man of Principals, integrity and relentless commitment to the pursuit of truth but for the greater good regardless of public opinion. I say he is a modern day robin hood meets Rambo and reserve judgement until a court of law allows him his constitutional rights to fair and speedy trial as well as representation and the presumption of innocence before trial" is going to sound pretty pitiful especially if he turns up continuing to kill innocents to make his escape.

thats exactly wat I said. the woman who represented him at the hearing and her fiance were killed by him.

Here's what you said, verbatim, which is incorrect, her soon to be husband did not represent Dorner, her father did..........but no big deal.......

"like when this animal killed the woman and her soon to be husband who represted him at his hearing"

Agreed.

Disagree and apparently have taken liberties to state that I apparently think this is a "Huge Conspiracy" when all I ask as any reasonable and rational person who believes in the Rule of Law should do is LET HIM HAVE HIS DAY IN COURT and then LET THE PUBLICLY OPENED LAPD INTERNAL INVESTIGATION RUN ITS COURSE WITH THE EYES OF AMERICA DEMANDING ANSWERS.

Also, the manifesto covers the chronology that he feels denied him justice due to the BLUE LINE and the CODE OF SILENCE.

Thanks for the fun opportunity to un twist the spin you put on my or our statements, do you work for Bill O'Reilly? Where can you quote me making any kind of statement that claims he is innocent?

Nonsense, the belief in our civil rights can never be seen as pitiful as an argument or philosophy or practice. That again is a veiled attempt at undermining me by challenging the foundation of my argument with a weak and misguidedly false conclusion.

Why does every guy that has a message to publicize and is ignored and chooses to resort to domestic terrorism like guerrilla tactics to get the word in print is automatically labeled a whack-job?

Maybe he is considered a psycho because the truth's he speaks, regardless of the casualties inflicted in his personal war to restore his name or correct the corruption, are too potentially damaging to the media organizations or the regional stability in which this is publicized.

Maybe in other countries, individuals override the evil government, whatever. This is a situation where there is a murder suspect in our community and we have an existing system to deal with it. I am a police officer, retired, from Los Angeles and to say this is a big evil conspiracy against this man is absurd. Maybe he was wronged, yes there is an awful amount of racial hatred in the world, including in the ranks of law enforcement. But his reaction is grossly illegal and is causing awful pain for innocent people. Yes one is innocent until proven guilty but should the authorities ignore this and not respond? I really am revulsed at some of the above "logic" and look forward to the suspect's apprehension so good, innocent folks can resume their lives with a higher degree of safety.
Wheather some believe it or not, there are good, honest police officers out there who stand between evil and the community daily and no one seems to be mentioning them. Here's to the thin blue line. Raydog

No, Bill O'Reilly can't afford me :)

I don't see how I put words in your mouth or twisted them, I was very careful that I cut and pasted what you said in order not to misquote you. If I am incorrectly assuming that you are praising this guy for his actions, then I sincerely apologize.

However, If you ARE praising this guy for his actions or trying to justify his perceived or real 'wrongs' by the actions he is accused of taking, then sir we do not agree.

I dont find him to be that intelligent to pull something like that off. he is simply bitter, spiteful and EVIL!

he shud be put down sooner then later if he is still alive. he will kill anyone who gets in his way cause he has demonstrated that he has no reguard for human life. like a wild rapid animal!

he is not a hero by any stretch of anyones imagination. he is a straight up coward and murder of defenseless people.

Brother Ray...

I totally understand your perspective as I have lost family in the line of duty with the LAPD. Also, a conversation at my location occurring right now is about the good, positive and honorable professional Law Enforcement Officers on duty day in a day out. To those men and women, I have infinite respect. I have been helped in situations more often than I have been fined or cited or bothered by COPS due to transgressions. The emotional responses to any of the above are merited as the way I have written and continue to look forward to right is effectively a seed or stimulus for discussion and very effective in acquiring such due to the way it tickles your emotional responses and results in very well written conjecture with a depth of insight that can only come from experience and dare I say, anger.

We want the same eventuality for the guilty as we want the same for the innocent. I just have to say again that the public lynching has to stop for the Lawmen to do their jobs and hopefully not take anymore casualties.

Then the last thing I have to say in this entry whether you dislike it or cut down its logic is Dorner may in fact have already taken his own life now that the controversy has erupted and the LAPD has opened an investigation. He in his own way may feel he needed to Martyr himself for the revolution to occur.

Why haven't we had a beer before since I have been in Reno two times over the last four weeks? :beerchug:

FOR THE RECORD: I would prefer he be apprehended or turn himself in, in order to stand trial rather than hunted down and shot like a rabid dog. I also believe in and have faith that there are a lot more good Cops than bad ones...and the good ones hate the bad ones too.

However, if proven guilty, he should pay the ultimate punishment (but in CA he'll only get life)...and no insanity defense either.

Yeah, the bottom line for me is, get him off the street THEN full transparancy of this entire incident, starting way back, including personnel investigations, reasons for termination, and....prosecutions for any others that may have done wrong, if that should come into the light. Don't get me wrong, I am a big proponent of self-scrutiny and if any evil has occurred by others, let them pay for it!

So here's the bottom line: You walk out of your door and come face to face with the Lt. Do you call the police and turn him in or do you hand him a few bucks and supplies and wish him good luck? I call it in.

I believe that if you walk out your front door and come face to face with Lt. Dorner, you are on the list and the officers charged with protecting you are either dead or derelict in their duties. With that being stated I don't think you have a choice in the matter, YOU ARE DEAD.

This is assuming (which is never good to do) that the Lt. is the one responsible. Innocent until proven guilty. The only facts I know are what the media has told me and there fore I don't know this to be fact and I sure don't have ALL of the information. I don't buy in to conspiracies but I also don't buy in to the liberal news media portrayal either. I want facts, hard facts.

Like Lurch stated, I too think the probability of facing Lt. is highly unlikely and will mostly be done as a final courtesy notice of impending death if indeed he is still alive (I am sure he is) and actually carrying out the agenda he is alleged to be undertaking. I am sure he wants to come out of this alive so as to testify in a non-biased courtroom in front of a non-biased audience and a non-bought out judge or maybe even in a congressional investigation. Guaranteed that he'll make millions for his legal fund just selling the movie rights.

Also, it is my belief that the man planned this thing so exactly that he calculated his daily caloric needs in a cut and run survival scenario. Did you all happen to see how much survival fat he layered on over the years since serving in the Navy and on the force? Man, homie's got months of starvation to live through with all that mass and his number one priority in this situation is stealth, shelter and water of which he probably built a whole underground facility in the time since he hatched this plan. I bet I could find him but wouldn't do it for the money, I would do it to help someone in need and since he is so well prepared, he don't really need much. Chances are that if he is actually in the forest, he set up his hideout and waiting place to be near running water or plumbed in a water gathering system to a stream bed and hid it over time with leaf litter and other natural precipitation. Shoot, he probably has a bad ass man cave that will only be found by psychic spies and the latest topographical imagery regression analysis techniques.

I've got a book for all you to look at SAS Survival Handbook, Revised Edition: For Any Climate, in Any Situation: John 'Lofty' Wiseman: 9780061733192: Amazon.com: Books as it is where I learned everything I know years before some English bloke got a show on the Telly getting paid to run around and illustrate every scenario almost word for word out of this book.

100% on board with this. If old or current LEOs start committing suicide, we'll have our answers.

Now you're jumping to conclusions. There is no evidence that Dorner is a threat to anyone who is not in his mind connected to the LAPD and specifically the people he claims mistreated him (other than getting caught in the crossfire). If he thinks he will live long enough to get into a court room and make a speach he is mistaken. The chances of them taking him alive are zero (and that will not be by his choice). You are also giving him credit that may or may not be true. This could be a guy who just snapped one day and went on a shooting spree; and so is now living in the moment. People who sucessfully elude the police have supplies, lots of money (to stay off the grid), safe houses and usually assistance from other people. What I got from his manifesto is a guy who is angry about some things that were done to him but who is on the irrational side. That's not the mindset that helps you live very long if you have the full force of the American system on your tail.
