Good luck Lt.

Now you're jumping to conclusions. There is no evidence that Dorner is a threat to anyone who is not in his mind connected to the LAPD and specifically the people he claims mistreated him (other than getting caught in the crossfire). If he thinks he will live long enough to get into a court room and make a spe(e)ch he is mistaken.

Now, hold your horses. Again, we see folks insert mindsets and transfer their perceived understanding of my arguments without merit and only due to a gut reflex. There is no real misguided conclusion in my statements, rather an observation based on his manifesto's message.

The chances of them taking him alive are zero (and that will not be by his choice).

Don't count your chickens before your eggs hatch.

You are also giving him credit that may or may not be true.

It is what it is and everybody has an opinion or cause to support and defend.

This could be a guy who just snapped one day and went on a shooting spree; and so is now living in the moment.

Sure, it could be so but wouldn't you agree that what you believe he is may be a result of the way you are programmed over decades of propaganda aimed at exactly that in this scenario.

People who suc(c)essfully elude the police have supplies, lots of money (to stay off the grid), safe houses and usually assistance from other people.

And, what makes you think that this in not the case in regard to Lt. Dorner? You do understand the timeline of events in relation to his mission/cause?

What I got from his manifesto is a guy who is angry about some things that were done to him but who is on the irrational side.

What is irrational about trying to right wrongs even with collateral damage in the form of a few bodies hitting the floor. You are American aren't you and by virtue of that, you have supported the wholesale slaughter of combatants and non-combatants in all of our foreign wars. You are a beneficiary of the total human losses in the fight to build America since the beginning of this manifest destiny, are you not? How is it that people can be so callous about the deaths of thousands if not millions of people around the world at the hands of service members but when it comes to some good old "innocents" in this land, there is such uproar and pandemonium to the point of a posse and a bounty? Let's get that issue ironed out, shall we?

That's not the mindset that helps you live very long if you have the full force of the American system on your tail.

Hey, the "full farce" of the American System was on the Tail of Osama Bin Laden, himself the son of the close friends of the Bush dynasty, for over a decade before that big brown bearded man got snuffed out in a video game illustrated scenario instead of in living color. My guess is that this outlaw will continue to elude for a very long time and will become more of a legend as the years pass. This because truth being told, the intelligence ability of the American Force is not of much value against a lone and determined person who is strategically superior due to his tactical and survival knowledge. Furthermore, his only weaknesses are those that could be exploited by Investigators talking to people he discussed his plan with. If he had any kind of viably prosecutable accomplice he would have been found or be seriously on the run instead of in his lair that is easy to escape from and easy to sanitize by fire and more than likely boobie trapped for miles in every possible direction.

My guess is that he is a major fan of Tsun Tzu's writings and he will utilize every possible proven military strategy to keep the advantage and have everyone off the trail. How do you neutralize a posse with hounds? You stack the area with a bunch of roadkill or other kills and let them fester until the whole area smells like a vulture's wet dream. Talk about effective. Chances are he is just under the surface and in the brush observing his pursuers while wearing a hand made gillie suit with knives, guns, claymores, rpgs and every piece of light armament at the ready..

Let's not underestimate the man, let the scenario unfold and maybe well see truth unfold and allow for a positive change to occur that will be for the betterment of all of us. And, chances are that since he is facing life in a SuperMaxx facility, he will never be found and the mystery of his disappearance will never be solved.

First of all my only point was that you are assuming a lot in your positions stated here, which is what you called others out on. Second I posed alternative intrupretations of events to show that there are other conclusions that can be drawn here, not necessarily that they are in fact accurate. I agree that Americans have been quietly (and not so quietly) killing people all over the world and we all are guilty unless we oppose these efforts publically. But I am not ashames to admit I am a mostly proud American and i have actually helped us kill in other countries in the work i do every day.

Finally Bush didn't get OBL because he didn't want to. He needed him as an enemy and then when the trail went cold he didn't want to look like a fool again (first time looking like a fool was the WMD's) not being able to find him.

Roger that brother! However, I will disagree that he didn't want to look like a fool, HE WAS A FOOL AND A FIGUREHEAD who ran the county based on the input of a committee of mutually benefiting allies who ran the country into the ground while reaping the wool that was grown during the Clinton economic cycle.

I have been watching this post since it started and refrained from commenting until now.

I watched some of the video on the Facebook page about the acts of violence and wrong doings of police. Now if you could, post a video of the acts of kindness and right doings of police.

I would like to offer just one picture which is a young NYPD officer giving a homeless man a pair of socks and boots on a very cold night.

For every wrong act by the police, there are 100 right acts. This is a very similar light that the military is portrayed in at times. Very sad if you ask me. How about the media starts reporting good things that people do instead of all the wrong things. Well, since we have freedom of the press and I fully support it, how about we just go 50/50 on the good and the bad.

If you think this is BS, then drink your kool-aid and have a nice day.

Not at all Master Sergeant... I am 100% in line with you on this and chances are good that you and I may have run across each other back in my own USAF days. I was a 2E271 and got out in 02 after having served 7 years 11 months and 23 days. Hoorah Air Force... Of we go into the wild blue yonder.... :beerchug:

I've been watching this thread too, and just read the manifesto left behind by this fugitive...

There are good ways to effect change, and then there is what this guy is doing. *IF* there's anything to his plight, his need to get the LAPD's actions more transparent, I'm sorry, but this is not the way to go about it. He's not a hero, and you're only a victim of circumstances if you allow yourself to be one, which he clearly opted to do. He decided to focus on racism and quite frankly, while abhorrent, it isn't unusual, even today. That statement is a sad one, but I doubt others that have faced it feel like this guy is doing "the masses or the cause" any favors. There are people who face much, much worse in their daily lives, their entire lives, and never feel the answer is retaliation. I don't live in a bubble and think "justice always wins" because I know it's an incredibly flawed system, but I also don't live in a world where it's perfectly acceptable to take matters in to your own hands and hurt others in an effor to prove some point.

His manifesto has several troubling points, one of which describes how he wanted to respond to racial slurs being tossed around. "What I should have done, was put a Winchester Ranger SXT 9mm 147 grain bullet in his skull and Officer Magana’s skull. The Situation would have been resolved effective, immediately." That is NEVER a sane way to handle a situation that sooooo many are faced with, and while most hate racial slurs, it's a part of our daily lives, as unfortunate as that is. Talk to those that are descriminated against for their beliefs, their sexual orientation, their weight, their handicap, their education, whatever...the list goes on and on. Rise above it, don't become a part of it...his manifesto is riddled with apparent hatred and anger that seems to have festered for a LONG TIME, and while that in and of itself is not illegal, his actions and thoughts on how he wished he'd handled it displays, IMHO, an unstable person.

We ALL face adversity, whether it's descrimination, hatred, unfair/unethical actions of others...that doesn't give us the right to lash out and innocent people, ever.

There's a need for transparency in EVERY police dept, in every sector of our gov't, but if Americans allow and condone this type of "retaliation" in an effort to effect change, to make things better, well, sorry, that point is completely lost the very moment you opt to take someone's life...

I believe that if you walk out your front door and come face to face with Lt. Dorner, you are on the list and the officers charged with protecting you are either dead or derelict in their duties. With that being stated I don't think you have a choice in the matter, YOU ARE DEAD.

This is assuming (which is never good to do) that the Lt. is the one responsible. Innocent until proven guilty. The only facts I know are what the media has told me and there fore I don't know this to be fact and I sure don't have ALL of the information. I don't buy in to conspiracies but I also don't buy in to the liberal news media portrayal either. I want facts, hard facts.

I agree with you up to about 95%.....The dissagreement is when you say "liberal news media"......this has been looked at and, in fact, there is NO evidence that "liberal points of view" are overrepresented in the broadcast media as a whole. The rightys are just a proficient with well planned "spin" to "put lipstick on a pig" when they want to sell something to the people.

there's apparently been a shoot-out after he allegedly burglarized a home and stole a car

it's just happened, two officers allegedly shot

he's supposedly pinned down in a cabin in the Big Bear area

he will eat his gun like a coward and then LE can get back to work vs. tracking this POS down like an animal in the woods.... if he is INNOCENT like he claims then lets hear ur story LT. yea right....:boohoo:
