Good Question

Thrasher...you have yet to answer this "theoretical" question...you're over-analyzing it...I think the point is "what is there in your house that God forbid, you might risk losing, yet had a chance to save?"

Oh, and about my pics...I too have most of them on disk, but I also have two scrap books that I have spent countless hours making for both of my boys...if I lost it, there's no way I could replace it...one took me nearly 2 years to finish...
1) Rev's porn collection that I plan on asking him for a copy of

Seriously.. three things.

Out of the house?

1) Pictures
2) Guns
3) My computer. All the other computers in the house are slaves to mine. Mine contains all critical data.

Ok, is that better Michelle?

Just remember that a Fire Investigator will see you removing personnal items that can't be replaced before a fire, as a sign of involvement in setting the fire. This is a classic clue to arson or insurance fraud. I know this is not what you meant but I wanted to hear myself sound cool for a moment. With that said I would save the following:
1-computer tower (1000's of digital photo's, movies, and info, also backed up on disc)
2-file drawer with all my important info and paperwork in it
3-my other motorcycle Simms custom

I have been there. I didn't get to save anything, was out of town but, there was a Bible(My mother always carried it and still does) & a Rocking Chair(Passed down through generations of my family) that made it even though the entire house burned to ash around them both. Just a little soot on the bible and very little damage to the rocker which happens to be made of wood. I always thought it was strange and never questioned it at all, just accepted that those were meant to be kept.

OK.

1. Porn Collection...  Took a long time to get it just right...

2. The Booze off the top of the Fridge...  Man thats my Scotch collection...
3. My Membership card to Mons Venus (Strip Club) oh and a couple packs of smokes...
So Rev's the only honest person outta all ya'll, huh?

I keep my guns close. I would just shoot the guy or gal trying to burn my house down.

Oh im just waitin for it!

Should we shave the bears?
And here it is...

YES!! SHAVE THE BEARS!!! SHAVE THEM BALD!!! MUAHAHAHA!!!!

Ahem...so really....what would I try to save?

Uhhm...my little tote that has all the house info on it. Deed of gift, etc...

Then I would grab a monkey wrench and bust the FUGG outta all the sinks, showers and toilets in the house.

I think that's about it.

I could lose everything with no problem. Seriously. Even my busa. It's just stuff.

In May of 1989, I brought my girlfriend to her home, 1 night.
When I got back to my house, it was burning.
I raised my garage door, pulled my 89 FJ1200 out onto the driveway.
Got my Laborador out of the back yard, put him in the bed of my truck. Drove my truck to my neighbors driveway, so he would be safe , and watched it burn.
My Girlfriend was safe at home, my dog(ProStock) was safe, and my bike was safe.
What else was there?

I lost EVERYTHING else.
Didn't even have clothes to wear. Lost YEARS of pictures, but I have the memories.

Sorry to hear that Sleeper - As I always try to acknowledge. I have never been through something like that. Hopefully I never will, and because I have never been through it, it is difficult for me to give an educated guess as to what I want.. You usually don't know what is important in your life until its gone...

I guess I need help `cause I would be the one standing in the street butt naked just watching everything go up in flames. Pictures....I hate having my picture taken. Accomplishments.....always looking forward to the next in line. I guess I keep my life a little too simple. There really is nothing here I couldn't walk away from and just let it burn. Not that I wouldn't miss some of the things. The certificates I get for each marathon I finish, and the finishers medals. Ten in all. But....they are just things and are meaningless to me unless I can complete the next race and finish it faster than the last. Damn I guess I'm pretty shallow:(

simple is REAL, everything else is distraction. family friends memories are yours and worth saving

[what AM I smoking lately???]
