GoPro Mount idea for y’all that 3D print stuff

The only thing holding me back, at least for something like this is being able to print in something stronger but equipment starts getting larger with enclosures, but I'm told we (ahem, wife) doesn't allow. A 2nd printer is on the cusp of just showing up on my doorstep and truthfully needed with the latest project since have 10 large horns and 10 mini's on the way and will start printing this week. They're handheld 150db air horns with an internal 2ah battery.

On the 3D side for the Hayabusa, I modeled the Gen3 emblem and had them resin printed due to detail. Finally had a chance to prep and paint to match my trim, satin clear. For such an easy concept, prep and paint is a pain... The points are ridiculously sharp and fairly fragile.

An update. Now bolt hole to bolt of of GoPro mount is 115mm (~4.5"). Dual mount or possiblity of mount. I could use some help, any ideas on a good way to make the mount stiffer so doesn't flex with the camera on the end? Gusset works, but feel it needs more.

I'm currently looking in possibly rotomold other projects so it may be doable for this one. Pipe dream at the moment, but I have to dig into it for my other stuff so may have potential.

What about running a spine down the underside? Or having the mounting surface have a 1/2-1” tab that goes past the holes to keep the flexing to a minimum?

We’re well beyond my skill levels design and fab wise, it just seems like that creates support/a triangulated face

Nice work and good call on making sure it doesn’t flex. I’ve had mounts with flex and no amount of stabilizing from a paid video editing app fixed it.

Can they print around a small metal rod?

Triangulation is the only thing I really know about adding support. The rod idea is fantastic, easily could incorporate an opening for a rod or even a flat plate that could simply slide/tap in. Make sure width would fit between the bolt holes so they get support as well. Thickness of the mount will increase some, but doubt that matters much.

I'm not sure what the H pattern is, have a pic?
