Got a call from the cops tonight

What was the apb for? Jaywalking? Murder? See, if I was a cop, had an apb for a serious crime, and had a buddy that fit the description... I'd feel obligated to turn him in too. Not doing so would be obstruction.

Derek, Ben, FYI... Andy is out for HIS best interests. If he can make a bust he will, family or not.

With that attitude you may as well quit the Org. right now.  Turning somebody you know and /or hang out with (a friend or buddy) in for murder, theft, hit and run, etc. is one thing (I ceratinly hope we don't have any murderers here). But to provide the authorities with a buddy who fits the description of a suspect for a crime, speeding on a motorcycle in this case, in which no one is hurt or threatened without speaking with them and addressing it personally is another.

Is it illegal? Yes.  If the individual speeding is wreckless and leading police on a high speed chase then I can't blame the LEO.  But if an individual was simply "seen" speeding and as a LEO you say hey guys go check out this guy I know and see if he has an allaby is a d!ck move.

Okay... The story.

I get a call from Paul (GMbusa), tells me I have an APB out for me. (BIG guy, yellow bike, dressed in black). ONE person would put the APB out for that, And that would be Pauls Brother in law, Andy. THe reason I say this, I get a call from Augusta PD about an hour aftwer Paul warns me. They go through their thing trying to get me to fess up to running without telling me to fess up.... blah, blah, blah....

I tell officer Roan, when he where I've been all night (Home and a friends house) and he kept asking me my helmet color.... "It's black" "Okay"

"How tall are you?"
"I'm 6'10" "
"How tall?!"
"6'10" "
"Okay.... How much do you weigh?"
"about 390lbs"
"Oh, it's not you then"

so we finish up with that part... then he asks how long I've been riding, how easily I picked it up, etc.
I asked why he wanted to know, and he said he's looking at getting a Sport Bike. (I was shocked he said Sport Bike, and not crotch rocket) So I, trying to tie this together without letting it be known Paul told me earlier, said "Do you know Andy Toms from the Waynesboro PD?"
"Yeah! He's the one that told us it'd be you!"
"Really! That nice to know..." (knowing full well it's being recorded) "Well, his Brother in law, Paul, owns a bike shop. When you get it, talk to him, he can hook you up."
"Ok. Well, when I get it, maybe we can go riding sometime."
"sure, you obviously have my number, call me when you get it"

Now... I'm not dumb. He couldn't have called me on my cell phone unless someone gave him the number (PD can't get PCS numbers

). I know Paul gave Andy my number to call, which I don't blame him, he knew I wouldn't mind that fact. I like to clear #### up. But, Andy is the only way the PD would have it.

Anywho, this is hopefully cleared up, and next time I see Andy, I've got a MOUTHFUL to tell him to shove up his ass. I trusted this little guy that had a good time as a friend, and he's shown me his true colors.

Like I've said before, I don't admit shid to him, I know he's a cop, and he's paid to right tickets. I'm not dumb. But for him to assume I ran because he heard a dude in Stuarts Draft ran from the cops... Thats F-ed up.

Heres the kicker, when I talked to Officer Roan on the Phone, he told me they were looking for a SMALL WHITE GUY from the dash cam!!! Not a HUGE GUY DRESSED IN BLACK!! Sounds like Andy wanted to assume some shid, or he had it out for me for some reason.

Glad you did not get charged with anyting.

Better watch your speed for awhile. I doubt the local leo's will cut you any slack for awhile.

Sounds like its only partially cleared up. There’s still the matter of his little friend.

I know he's a cop, and he's paid to right tickets. I'm not dumb.
Yama, please don't take offense to this but I read this part and started laughing MAO...I'm not claiming to be the national spelling bee champ, but under the seriousness of the situation I thought it was hilarious.

Does anyone else here know of Paul and Andy? I would assume so. Would love to get a response from them here on the board. Very soap operaish.

As a Defensive Tactics/Ground Fighting Instructor at the state police academy. I wouldn't advise trying to beat a cop's a$$. It can be done, but as Rev said, they get paid to do it and most of them have no qualms about gittin it done.
