Mrs.Duck has informed me that they teach you how to stop and balance without putting your feet down at the BRC -MSF course.

Designed more for stop and go traffic but they still teach it.

Maybe the laws should catch-up with capabities of modern motorcycles and riders.

I got pulled over today  

The officer said I didn't come to complete stop because I didn't put my feet down at the stop sign

 The officer let me off with a warning and we actually spent more time talking about the bike than the ticket

 Only problem was it was 95 degrees and I was in full leathers  

 I thought I was going to pass out! Anyway my girlfriend was driving by and decided to take a pic with her cell phone while I was talking to the officer. Figured you guys would kick out of it

           

I went through vitually the same thing on Memorial Day. I cooperated fully, but the officer making the stop was in training, so they made an ordeal out of it. In the end they let me go, but they treated myself and my passenger like we were terrorists.

"Your honor, I can stop the motorcycle just fine without putting my feet down. I have my motorcycle here with me today and will be happy to demonstrate it to the court."

That sucks....I don't put my feet down unless I have to...I try to balance as much as possible....glad the LEO was cool...
