Gotta love these people....

All that would do is make you feel better temporarily... then... if you positioned yourself again... another idiot would show up.... make sure you have some sturdy leather gloves to wear to soften the knuckle busting.
I am well versed in the art of concealment and target acquisition.....

It might be a temporary feeling.....for me....but a lasting one for the perpetrator...

I used to be able to use emojis after sentences, in the writing, like right here, not just when I like someone else's post.
The emojis are still there, but no longer light up, and cannot be selected.
They did that a few years ago, but came back, then went dark again, and I still cannot use them.

I had that same thing for while, started working again and still works. Maybe Cap can help?

A friend of mine stopped by yesterday to show me his new Volvo....it's quite a car...

He also rides an HD Heritage Classic....he said in all the years he has never sat on my bike.....when he did he was amazed at how light it was and he already knows how much power it has so that amazed him even more....

He was saying that in the first week of pride month, people were going around his neighborhood putting stick signs on everyone's yard with the pride flag and logo on it.......he said it didn't bother him but one old crusty neighbor had a real issue with it and called the municipality who sent someone out.......it turns out where they put the sign in front of his house is technically municipal property so they were allowed......so this guy went in and built a box out of wood and slid it over the sign stating that he was allowed to put that box there.....

So then someone came along and put graffiti on it so the municipality told him to take it down as it was now an eyesore...so he did and the pride sign was there so somehow it also got graffiti on it so it had to go as well.....

My friend said more effort was put into that than just about anything else in the neighborhood...he said he did nothing to his and eventually the pride people came along and gathered them all in.....probably about 2 days after his sign was taken in due to graffiti.....

We both had a good chuckle over that, I said if were me, I'd do the same as he did, just leave it.

We have the same "this is technically public property" strip here. Even though you plant grass and maintain it like it's yours.

Some kids thought it would be fun to spin out and sling mud on the fence my neighbor just put up. He complained and got the same lack of response. They said we will step up the patrols.....blah blah blah. He would take his tractor and fill it all in each time. But he also had to pressure wash his new fence. Plant new grass etc. The kids thought this was all great fun!

The mayor lives in our neighborhood. He went and discussed it with the mayor. Told him exactly what he was going to do.

He then got some plywood, screwed about 50 or so screws through it, painted it all green, hid it with dirt and grass.

Took about a week before the kids tried it again.

That solved that problem.

We aren't allowed to build or put anything of a permanent nature in this area....the municipality has 3 feet on either side from the center of the road...as we don't have sidewalks it looks like we have larger front lawns.....there was a short time where some people protested this by not cutting the grass along that invisible border but all it did was make their homes look untidy....

I know an older person that gets very angry when someone parks along the street and she wants action but I let her know that the municipality owns that area and they haven't posted any no parking signs so nobody would enforce her complaint. She still gets riled up though....

We have some "gray areas" in how it's interpreted here. For instance we have to have mailboxes for the postal delivery, that has to be within "X" from the curb line. And mine like many others are made from brick. Technically I improved the easement with a permanent structure. However I can prove it doesn't interfere with the underground utilities. But it's a process for sure.

In my neighbor's case a cut piece of plywood isn't considered permanent.

The mayor told everyone to let him solve the problem.

It's nice to live in a small city.

Here we aren't given any grey areas.....although people tend to look after this area as their own and some plant things along it...our front survey pins are just inside this zone.

I just re-read my post and I meant to type 30 feet from center verses 3 feet...

I have seen a few You Tube videos from somewhere in the US where people are fighting over the patch of grass between the sidewalk and the street curb as if it's theirs.....

Yeah some people just feel they can override what their deed and survey is recorded as law.

We have these large green transformer boxes that feed individual electric services. Had a neighbor that decided they were an eye sore and planted very nice flowering hedge bushes around it. Hidden well and looked beautiful.

About 4 years later she got a letter that the transformer was going to be replaced. She turned her nose up to it. After several more notices, the he city shows up with heavy equipment and yanked (ripped) them all out.

She tried to sue. She lost!

It's pretty clearly written it was at the cities discretion to find remedy. Didn't matter what she had expended on it.

Out here in the country, and in the county, you maintain your own property all the way to the state road.
No one can put any signs or anything in your yard, even on the edge of the road.
But, the State technically owns the first 15 feet from the road, so that they can legally widen the road, contractors can lay any type of cable or irragation, and the powerlines, regardless of where any may be on your property, the power company can trim the tree branches away from them, aka, have a tree service hack up the tree limbs along the lines.
But, all and all, there really are no problems in most cases.
I have a concrete pad extending about 20' in front of my carport, and plan on extending it more, doubling the width and going to the end of the driveway, but will stop it 15' from the road...because if I go all the way to the road, as soon as I do, they will run cable out here and dig it up, vs boring under it, lol

I went out for my usual walk wearing reflective gear this morning because it is as foggy as it gets with visibility less than 50 meters.....yet there are still all kinds of drivers with no lights on and speeding like it was a bright sunny day....

And the fog fools your ears as to what direction sound is coming from so it is even more dangerous to cross any roads...yet I saw a person on bicycle riding down the wrong side of the road with all dark clothing and not one light on his bicycle...I thought now there is a recipe to get run over....

Imagine how many people would NOT be born with these abortion laws in place everywhere *

I was out doing an errand this morning and stopped by a person I know who used to be a civilian employee on the base and is a pretty cool guy...

He also has a Ram truck so we were in the garage talking trucks...

He has a 30 something son living with he and his wife who has a mid 2000's Civic that is lowered and tricked out although it has 3 or 4 colors of doors and fenders on it and is in desperate need of a paint job...

He and I were talking about how disappointed we were that Ram has done away with the 5.7 Hemi and said the company that keeps their V-8 will sell the most trucks.......and although the new "Hurricane" engine might make more power it sounds like crap and is very complicated.

The young fellow snorted and said we don't know anything about going fast or power in our "grandpa" trucks and it was high time that Ram moved into the 21st century...we laughed at that.....

My friend said to his son "going fast? do you know what bike this guy rides?" The kid said "probably an old man Harley" and his dad said "he rides a Hayabusa....show him a picture"

So I did and the kid raised his eyebrows then had a hundred questions...."how fast is it. what's the fastest you've had it, how much power does it make.? etc, etc....

I told him that I didn't know how fast I've had it but it's not restricted anymore and I've had it topped out once so it must have been over 300 kms/hr and it didn't take that long to gather in that sort of speed. He asked how I thought his Civic would stack up against it....I told him I didn't want to burst his tuner car bubble but there was no comparison between the two.

The kid had no more talk of speed and power after that although we did go out and look at his Civic that he was busy working on...he had an Acura engine in it and a bunch of shiny bits here and there....

I said it must suck in the winter and he said he is looking for a used winter beater right now and will store this at one of his buddy's places.
