Not sure what he get for mileage.....I'd imagine it's pretty good on fuel as it's a tiny car.Do you know what your son is getting in fuel consumption?
I can remember in a different life, early 70's my job, working, testing on Mercedes's 6.3 Liter V8 cars, putting out 247hp with a torque of 369 lb ft. We thought those were rockets, got a speed thrill every minute I spent with them.
Back in 1973, a 454LS4 Corvette developed 275hp, in metric that would be a 7.4 Liter V8 motor.
Now, along comes a 1600cc 3 cylinder Toyota that would kick it's a$$.
Simply amazing
If we flop towards the EV thread for a second.....ICE engines have come a long, long way in regards to fuel efficiency and emissions compared to even 10 yrs ago. I believe that in time, ICE engines can become even better at both. And if EV become better at being charged quicker, their performance potential is limitless.....my friend's Tesla S in Ludacris mode is almost dangerous.
In the evenings a TV show comes on called "Graveyard Cars" and they focus on Mopar products....the host knows all about Mopars and was saying that in 1970 a 426 Hemi with a 6 pack put out 425hp........he was gifted a new "Hellcrate" engine that is also a 426 hemi (supercharged) but puts out 800hp and is much lighter.....the jump in performance numbers is staggering considering 1970 wasn't that long ago in the big scheme of things.....
