GSX-R's

The biggest difference between the SV650, and any other ~600 sportbike, will be weight and tuning. The SV650 is a bit heavier than most of the 600cc sportbikes. The full sportbikes are tuned for more power than the SV. You can pick up a Kawasaki ZR7-S for starters. Great bike. Very stable. A bit quicker than the SV650, but WAY slower than a Hayabusa.

I have a friend who told me that if I get a GSX-R600 he'll bust his GSX-R1000 out and teach me how to handle the beast. He also owns a Busa so I kinda trust him so I think that I'll probably end up with a GSX-R600. BONUS: there is a 600cc racing class!!

The CBR600F4i is a good intro bike. It will still kill you if you dont respect it, any bike will.
Someone around here has one of those for sale. Hint, Hint, Nijinski!

(Send her a PM if you're interested and she can fill you in on the details.)

Seems like like people have spoke: 14 for GSX-R600 and 11 for the Honda CBR600Fi. And I have personally been feeling/diggin the GSX-R600. When I get it I'll post the pics for yous guyz.

What up peeps, I've been lurking trying to find where to post my question. Since I saw GSX-R, I thought this might be the best place to pose my question. I've been riding for 16 years and I currently have an 04 GSX-R 1000, I'm really thinking about getting an 05 Busa or 06 if they make one. Can anyone provide som pros and cons besides the extra 100+ pounds I'll be gaining. I've been leaning towards a sport tourer for a long time and I think the Busa will be the best of both worlds. Any input?

I had a friend in your scenario, only he had a 999R; we went to the local shop, he test rode one and said, "SHITE YEAH!!" (he's Irish). He said that it handled WAAAAAY better than his 999R and he could NOT get that $h!t eating grin off of his face. He ended up buying one and he's been as happy as a pig in mud since then. I say ... ROCK OUT!!! If you have the fundage, DO IT!

Awesome bike. Great for the longer rides. The 1000 handles better, but its a pure 100% race bike.....if you want awesome streetable, comfort and performance? B U S A!

I think the GSXR600 is a very good choice for you... Light and manoeuvrable yet enough power to teach you to be easy on the controls. Advanced course is a MUST... Try to get some lapping in a race school or free lapping day too.

thanks much, I'm happy to be a member.
I think I picked a pretty retarded handle, since I might be getting a yamaha...
I guess I just need to hurry up and get that 'busa so I can deserve it

Don't rush tha Busa bro; I tried a friends 999R from his driveway, down the cul de sac, and back again.  I realized more than ever what power the Busa will have
