Jury selections are the linch pin in a case like this. Trumps team attempted to move the trial out of NYC so a more neutral jury could be selected. They also wanted to get a different judge... neither was allowed. Think of the OJ trial after the beat down of Rodney King a few years earlier. The jury sent a message... and just like this jury... they had a message to send too. Also remember the statute of limitations had run out on the misdemeanors and Bragg had passed on prosecuting Trump on these charges years ago. Why were they doing it now? Isn't it obvious by now?

What will be the scary part of all this are the deluded Trumpeters who will flock to his side....I read they are calling for lynching's and riots after the verdict...we could see mass pseudo Jan 6th actions taking place all over the country at some point....

It really is scary. A lot of Trump supporters are aggressively angry, even though most signs point to the fact that the trial probably bolstered his position. As you pointed out, perhaps they feel empowered to act like idiots ala Jan 6th.
I believe a lot of citizens feel like I do, tired of all the commotion. This entire situation has left a black mark on our nation.

You guy have fallen for the Spin... The MSM is complicit across the board to spread a narrative as far and as wide as it can. The unifying moment for all of them was when he announced he was running for POTUS in 2015. Before that time he actually gave money to Dems to support the campaigns they were entered into. Trump actually donated to Jessie Jackson one time. Think about this... if Trump is re elected and becomes the lame duck like most presidents are in their second term... what do you think the consequences will be for those that openly broke the law and conspired to destroy his chances to run for a second term? All kinds of corruption has been swept under the rug in recent years and finding an AG with the right temperament, will and perseverance to take on the swamp with the full power of the DOJ will be a thing of beauty to watch. The truth will likely prevail in the end as it plays out because the liars usually turn on each other to escape justice when the heat is on.
As far as Jan 6th goes... just more spin... when Wray won't answer questions about where FBI agents were and what they were doing on Jan 6th in front of a congressional committee attempting to get to the bottom of it all... you have to ask why... why won't Wray answer those questions? Will he be caught in a lie with photgraphic evidence showing plain clothes FBI agents acting as provocateurs like Ray Epps was that day? What happened to Ray Epps that day anyway? I heard that he was arrested and brought in months later... I think he got a slap on the wrist.
You said a lot of Trump supporters are angry? is that why 71 million was raised in 24 hours by small contributors to he re election campaign after the verdict?
Is that why his website crashed because it was flooded after the verdict was read?
Some Democrat is calling on the Governor of New York to pardon Trump immediately. Why? Because everything the law fare Dems are doing is back firing on them.... his poll numbers and campaign funds continue to grow as a result of the constant attacks on his image.

The system is only corrupt because it is going against Trump......never heard the words spoke so often before..........as soon as Trump is involved, the election system and judicial system is unfair, unjust, illegal, etc, etc......Trump is a dangerous man not just for what he thinks but for how he projects this to others who blindly follow him.
Jan 6th was real, it was perpetrated by Trump followers with an end goal, it wasn't peaceful, it was an attack on the American electoral process by citizens egged on by the then sitting president and he would do so again in an instant......and the scary part is he has enough followers who will answer the call.
Then we get idiots like Pence who was targeted by Trump and his followers yet still kisses the ring.....
IF Trump gets into the White House again, it will be a very dark and dismal time for the United States as he will be full of hate and revenge....kind of how Darth Vader came to be in Star Wars....

That's hilarious... were the Trump followers raising hell before Jan 6th too? You have obviously missed all the incriminating video evidence that shows civil rights violations by Capitol Police. You missed the video where citizens were yelling at the Capitol Police to do their job. You missed the videos that were on Tucker Carlson showing the Capitol Police escorting the former Navy guy around the Capitol that indicated nothing was getting out of hand. Why do you think Tucker was let go by Fox anyway? The Swamp was getting pissed off because he was exposing the true nature of the Jan 6th activities. Trump never said attack the Capitol. These 34 felony counts aren't felonies. All of this will be appealed to a higher court and reversed. Regardless... it's really just a big smear campaign designed to keep Trump off the campaign trail. The Swamp thinks that by attaching the label of felon to Trumps name it will damage his prospects of winning the election. It's just one big soap opera where everything the Swamp does just exposes who the Swamp really is.... plenty of black voters in New York that would never vote for Trump will now because they see the travesty of it all.... but.... you think its all real.... and in a sense it is... however... like most of the law fare stuff happening it simply falls apart at the end.... liars stand in sand... truth tellers stand on the truth... this is why even though lies are told for years about certain events and the general public swallows it... eventually the truth gets out... eventually the whistle blowers speak out... eventually the books get written by those that discovered the circumstantial evidence that points to the truth.... One change can be seen these days when people do not pull over for police cars involved in high speed chases with lights on and sirens blaring... better than 75% do nothing to allow the police to persue criminals in the act of escaping.
2024 is a pivotal year... not just because we are having an election... metals are surging because the dollar is weakening and many more banks are poised to fail... Many commerical property loans are not getting refinanced at higher rates. New loans aren't happening because the borrower can't make the payment at the higher interest rate. A lot of regional banks are getting the keys back from the borrower... about 67 banks are ready to fail right now.

Not my experience here in southwest Missouri at all. I've seen cars pull up on the curb to get out of the way of emergency vehicles. As far as finances, other than the balloon in the early eighties or the weird low of the early 2000's the prime rate has hovered around 8% , what it is now. The economy, like water, finds it's level.
The Chicken Little routine is probably just your way of coping and expressing yourself. As Bee mentioned you get all wound up and impassioned, which is usually a good thing, but over the wrong things. I'd bet a donut that during '16 to '20 you were at peace as your Moriah was at the helm, blissfully ignorant of the fact that it had nothing to do with anything.

As you point out the platform is key to a countries success. You made my case... until the scamdemic was launched the policies put forth by the Trump administration were doing more to re unite this country and move it in the right direction than anything Biden and his cronies have done.
What did the withdrawal from Afghanistan get us? It showed the world what an inept puppet Biden is... who advised him to move out in the manner he did? While no man or woman is perfect... the Biden document signing that went on for days after his installment with all the executive orders reversing the Trump executive orders made one thing clear to most Americans... a new level of corruption and subversion was being implemented. Notice now ( 3.5 years later after his installment ) that Biden is actually addressing the border fiasco but not really doing anything about it... just lip service to gain poll ratings because he is losing in key states. Wasn't that the border control job handed to Harris 3.5 years ago? What did she do? Nothing.... for years she wouldn't even go to the border and see the mass illegal invasion for herself.

You are speaking on the Afghanistan with-drawl as if you have some sort of military strategic or tactical knowledge.....I have both and I can tell you, the only other alternative to what was done would have been a running gun fight via land to the nearest border. The Taliban were already in control of the area surrounding the airport so there was no buffer between them and the mission to extract as the ANA/ANP collapsed far faster than anyone predicted...
Add to this ISIL were operating unopposed in the area as well.

Go and watch a few police chases on You Tube... recent chases. You live in the Mid West where sanity behind the wheel hasn't dropped to the road raging levels found in the costal areas where cities are located. You never noticed the difference between city people and country people before? Just look at how they vote.... this is why why has it been said for decades? liberalism is a disease. Why do you think Hillary calls the middle of the country... "fly over country"? During her 2016 campaign she landed in Iowa one day... only 2 young women showed up... they commented the only people there to see Hillary were them... and they just wanted to see her in person more as a curiosity ... not to politically support her. Everyone else they saw there were either Secret Service people, airport employees or a news crew.

Let me ask you this... when Trump stepped into North Korea and met with Kim... what did you think? What is better? maintaining hostile alliances or making friends and eventually gaining trust for a chance to form a peaceful resolution of sorts?
There is absolutely no way the US could have controlled that area without bringing in a very sizeable multi capable force of which would need to be extracted under fire as well.....
At one time NATO had over 200,000 military personnel not to mention around 300,000 Afghan National Army personnel and the Taliban still prevailed thanks to their sanctuaries....
The equipment left behind did not belong to NATO or the US, it belonged to Afghanistan and was abandoned by their military and police forces when they all deserted their posts....the US had nothing to do with that equipment other than where most of it was manufactured.
Trump is and was a narcissist, nobody loves Trump more than Trump and he was very much showboating and asserting his dominance. If you will notice, he was quite cozy and at home with these dictators......why should be the question you are asking yourself.

Equipment was most likely bought and paid for by US tax payers at some point in time unless the Saudis bought it... These days we have stuff rusting all over the world.
Trumps sees USA efforts as team efforts. To continue with nuclear stock piles at the ready is a sure way to destroy the world as we know it.
Most Wars are nothing more than ways to rob those parts of the world where wars are staged and profit from the tax payer money that funds it.

As far as not paying contractors goes... ever heard a Bond that guarantees payments are made on a construction job? Or, did the Bonding companies also fail to perform?
