H2SX vs GEN 3

I kind of wonder....don't the people within the Euro emission committee not know these and many other vehicles will be modified which includes removing the exhaust system and re-flashing the ECU?

If they were really serious they would have made the companies design the ECU to make it unable to be unlocked......in that breath, I hope none of them are reading this forum....:firing:
True DAT !!!!!

See linky. They are only taking action against companies who openly produce and sell products which can be proven to remove emission control. I know of dealerships modifying new bikes for the customer before being sold as new being sued. There are also a few $1/2 million fines going around for manufacturers producing and selling products for motorcycles which remove emissions.

The owner who modifies his bike is insignificant to the EPA putting resources in place to enforce it.

We can't legally sell trucks that have been emission deleted, new or old or we would be mega sued (independent truck wholesalers can). We also provide zero warranty for deleted trucks and zero support, so if you bring a truck to us deleted and we blow it up by accident it's 100% on the customer our engineers will also provide zero support for deleted trucks. I'm not sure if motorcycles will ever get this strict but I know they can't be taking emmisons off before selling.

Every dealer here won’t mod anything that affects emissions, new or used. Only speciality shops do and most of them don’t flash, they use whatever else is on the market to mod how the motor runs.

Most aftermarket parts say for closed course use only. I don't think anyone cares enough to check, at least here in VA they don't. It would be massively expensive and time-consuming to check this, I just don't see anyone wasting the money. You used to be able to buy new Busas with pipes added that didn't have cats, I'm guessing that day is gone.

Frankly, there aren't enough bikes on the road to matter emissions-wise, so this is basically a one size fits all regulation. Sort of makes electric look a lot better - just forget all this crap and run what you want.

Like I said, we'll know what's up if the pipe guys ignore the 2022 bike. It could be that the only way to hop up a 2022 Busa is to turbo it with an aftermarket ECU. Then the problem is getting the TC and wheelie control to read in the new ECU I think?

I saw Akropovic has a slip on for the Gen 3 somewhere on here someone posted it. Maybe that is the best you can do for now (slip on)
