I can see why. It's a sign that you have you bike perfectly balanced in the turn. If you do it right, the bike should be able to handle it all by itself without any further input from you.
(Wag @ Dec. 07 2006,14:09) On the perfect curve, I'll do it sometimes. The Busa settles into corners with such extreme stability it can be done quite easily. You just have to make sure you put your arm straight down and not point it out perpendicular to the bike.
Its pretty easy, you get the right speed and no problem, Just gotta learn to drive in a corner with the right hand only. It is fun and when I am in the mood, feels great, although it really eats up your gloves!!!
(dadofthree @ Dec. 08 2006,20:30) Hurry, someone on site get some metal fingertips out there on auction. Vman can shoot sparks with knee and fingertips.
So does this qualify as "Squid-racer"?? hahahhahaa hand draggage accomplishes nothing except to show how stable a bike is in a well planned turn. that was at Heartland Park raceway, Topeka KS - GREAT track btw, and mostly for the video guy behind me. I think VMAN has some much better pics of that style action
again, I don't do that on open roads - I never trust their surfaces, I always take it to the track
a few spots on the Cherohala Skyway are nice for that....the wife needs to relax a little more before I let her try it. She's likely to forget and "lean over" to reach it...DOH!
