People who never rode a Busa have the idea that it's hard to handle. Or that is "doesn't turn well". Not true. The Busa is incredibly stable and will hang with most bikes in the twisties when properly set up. Unless you're a perpetual knee dragger, the handling issue isn't an issue at all.

That said, the RC51 is a superior handling bike, but only to those who can ride to the capability of the machine.

Set the suspension ride height for your weight and you'll have no complaints unless you're a racer or drag knee every weekend at the track.

How do i do that..im a big guy..6'1 280 pounds how would i set that up?...an about that handaling i just wana be able to keep up with my boyz they all ride GSXR's 750's an 1000 when we go out on cruzes..

You'll have to get stiffer aftermarket springs for the front forks, the oem are too weak unless you're 150lbs. As far as setting up the suspension, here's a good thread;

I ride with 600, 750, and 1000s all the time.  The only guys faster than me are the guys with more skill than me, the busa can hold its own in the canyons.

I normally use pilot powers for rubber.

I don't really know what you want out of a bike?
I have rode my whole life..........
And have a had "Gixxer"........
I don't want to "Drag-Knee" everytime I ride.......
The "BUSA" is fast.....And Comfortable!
And I love riding it! More than anyother bike I have ever Owned...

thanks guyz. an yea i do gotta work on my spelling..one other thing..when you stretch out the rear swing arm..an put a 240 size rear tire how dose that afect the handaling?

It will affect the handling..and not in a good way. But if all you are concerned with is going in a straight line.....do it! Sure looks cool. I RIDE mine. I don't drag my knee, but I do enjoy the twisty 2-lanes. I'm not into cruzing around town...or the freeway.
The Busa is a great traveling machine. No shortage of power, comfy, stable as hell, and handles great!
Get it!

NA trust me im GETING it, im at power sports right now as we speak..im trust trying to an idea for sum things i well do to tha bike...so with the 240 in the rear ...i wont be bale to hit thos twistys roads as hard?

Coming from Superbikes for years, you will probably only notice the weight difference. And that's not much, but the turn in and flickability is. The Busa will be much smoother and forgiving of pitch-in mistakes (because of the slower reaction with the weight and longer wheelbase). Actually, I think it's easier to ride, just remember the throttle will (YES IT WILL) pound you back if your not smooth. And it's alot more comfortable - Hands down on this one !!!

Yea, DaCoL, is giving real good advice. The throttle is the key to riding the BUSA because it is VERY deceptive. What I mean is the bike is so smooth it is very easy to misjudge correct speed in the twistys and end up pushing out of the curve!! And in the straights you might swear you are just over the speed limit and then look down only to find you are QUITE a bit over when the Coppers remind you only too late!!

The torque, CONSTANT TORQUE, you will love it but must learn to respect it especially in the twistys. I know, my sentence structure is bad but this is supposed to be informal:)

Leave the extended swingarms and 240 rear tires to the "bling" crowd if you're interested in a fine-handling machine.

I ride with liter bikes all the time. hadf to tweak the suspension a bit. but have no trouble keeping up with them in the twists. bring the rear up, it's WAY soft. drop to a 180 Pilot rear (if your ego can take the "Small tire") I'm light 185lbs so i was able to get away with out re-springing the fronts.

If you extend and put a 240 on your buddies will leave you (unless its all straight roads).

If you want to corner forget about stretching it and widening the rear tire.
