Handling Question - First Time Busa Rider

Did you check your tire pressure? New tires might help a ton. :welcome: to the org.

It feels like the bars want to turn "into" the direction of the turn. In other words you lean left and the bars turn left.

Your statement above indicates with an almost 100% assurance (assuming it has not been lowered, fat tired or otherwise phucked with in the name of fashion) that the rear tire has flat spotted and/or the front has devloped flat spots to the sides of the center of the tire.

How many miles on the tires?
Are the wear bars showing?

Post a close up pic of your tires.

cheers

She has 3,000 miles on her. Is this alot for stock tires?

I guess I have to get a little pic out there!

Thanks again for all your insight! I am 100% positive the only "fixing" that this bike needs through the corners is ME!!!!!

This is what I am experiencing also.
As I recently learned she can corner with much grace if ridden correctly.
I am going to do track days to learn more with this bike.

By the way :welcome: to the ORG and ride safe bro.

That's completely up to the rider and riding style. Some only get 2500 out of them; I got almost 7000 out of mine. . . Just depends on how you ride. Your steering issues could be a few things. First of all, at low speeds it will always steer into the turn. However, if it's being forceful and you're having a hard time keeping it from almost snapping to the lock, you need new tires. If it's just hard to turn you either just need to get used to it, or the original owner may have upped the weight of the oil in the steering damper. A lot of people up it to 90 weight which can make a pretty big difference in the steering effort needed by the rider.

Depends on riding style but yeah, it's real easy to use up a set of tire in 3000 miles, real easy.

Are you at the wear bars?
Like this?
Wear bars circled.
If you are than there is no way it's gonna handle good.

As the tires wear it requires more and more pressure on the inside bar in a corner to mantain a line. Put new tires on and bingo, right back to neutral handling.

The wider the tire the more pronounced the feeling.

That tire looks like it's done a few burn outs. That's another reason a lot of riders tend to only get around 2500 out of a stock tire.

+1 to that! As stated above, I got almost 7,000 out of the stock BT56. It just depends on riding style. From the looks of it, the previous owner didn't do much but cruise around it, being as it's still completely stock. I would imagine you've got plenty of tire life left.

welcome. it takes awhile to get use to a bigger and Baddddder bike. take ur time and be safe.
