As you know I was laid off back in April. I took about a three month vacation and did a lot of fishing while I was collecting my severance pay. Once the money stopped coming in I figured it was time to start looking for a new job. I had resumes out to a number of places but nobody wanted me.
Then I found out that my health benefits were only good for three months and that they had lapsed.
So I called Delta back to see what my options were. I took a job as a mechanic helper which meant I was doing almost the same job but at almost half the pay
but that was my choice.
Today I got the call I've been waiting for. I've been recalled back to a full paid mechanic.
I use to work in the hanger (I'm still on the recall list for that ) but for now I'll be in the engine shop working on these little things.
