I don't understand why people pass on a curve, I mean what the heck are they thinking!

And on another note, why in world would you strap a baby seat on a bike!

Way old video. That's actually a decent place to pass on the Dragon if you know how to ride.

The first bike flat out disappeared! You can see his head looking right for the hole he was headed for and not around corner where he needed to go. Other guy was just a lemming along for the ride over the cliff.

I'm curious. Having never been there in my adult life what are y'alls opinions on the comments made by the poster of the video on YouTube? Should slower vehicles like people on vacation in cars move over for bikes who wanna go faster or do they have just as must right as you and you just deal with it?

As much as I want them to move.. it is a public road not a track.. even if it does a reputation as a great bike road, its still a public road. However, on my trip I had more than one car pull over, either for the road coming up, my hid or I closed in on them in about 2.3 seconds. Either one, I was vary thankful they pulled over.

They should pull over out of common courtesy. But if drivers were courteous, they wouldn't hang out in the left lane driving under the speed limit either.

That vid has been here a few times as well as many other places.

There is one reason only for that bike going off the pavement. It is called "inexperience".

Interesting, I did some dirt roads around the Dragon recently on my Husqvarna, with lots of gravel and canyon twisties. Cars, two V-Stroms and an R6 were doing around 25 mph, when I approached from behind at around 65 mph. Everyone immediately pulled over to let me go by.

If I remember right, I dont think the speed limit is over 30mph for the entire Dragon. Common courtesy to help pass sometimes would be nice, but it's not required as this is a public roadway shared by all types of vehicles and not a racetrack!

I keep seeing vids of folks passing in double yellows. Is it just me or is that a no no. Speeding a bit is one thing but passing and speeding in a double yellow is instant reckless I thought?

If you get caught across the line they will write you up for it. It is a public road, speed limit 30 mph. However there are no intersections or driveways for 11 miles. Bikes can easily run 45-50mph through there without pushing any limits. 11 miles of no passing zone behind a cage doing 20 mph and leas is agony.
