Lets see some pics of that Harley

Probably get 4 or 5 Busa's for the price of that baby, right ? One sweet ride though !

I've had my Night Train with 240 rear, 95", Jim's 6, air suspension, and Ness all around, since 11/00 with 26K miles. I got my 06 Busa Oct 7, 06 and logged over 3K miles so far. Both are totally different types of riding, the HD is cruising with some speed/torque, the Busa is pure performance. My only complaint is after riding the Busa, my HD feels like a slug. I was thinking of selling it but the guys at the moto shop said that people have $45k pieces of art sitting aroung their house everyday. If you like the HD keep it!! BTW 5'5", 190, just tuck behind the windscreen and rest your chest on the tank.

Welcome to the board.

I have been a Harley guy for years and used to have a Triumph Speed Triple for playtime....I got a V-rod after they came out to have something with power as I missed my Speed Triple. I have always had an H-D Ultra for trips with my wife also. Well the V-rod just wasn't what I was looking for, so I started researching sportbikes with reliability! Also at 6'03" 225lbs I was looking for something I would fit on. Everything I read pointed at the BUSA, so a couple months ago I sold the V-rod and bought an '04 Blue/Silver (fastest color) BUSA. I got out on it about a dozen times before having to store it for the winter, but I can tell you that I have never wanted winter to be over so fast before!! It really is an AWESOME machine!!!!!

Welcome to the site! If I ever own a second bike (that is, while owing the Busa), it'll be a Fat Boy.

Welcome.

I'm 6'6" and about 230...(OK 240 from the holidays). I have never liked nor owned a Harley. I like the looks of the bike but one ride told me that there was no way in heck I was spending that money for that ride. I bought a V4 Magna which is as good a cruiser as I can ask for. You are in 2 different worlds. You are going from sitting back with feet up and arms stretched out, to leaning forward and legs bent. That will feel like hell for about 500 miles as far as that world. But feedback from the bike will keep your senses alive and forgetting about that new riding posotion. I get on my Magna now, which can still kick the crap out of any Harley and she feels dog slow now. Way different performance level you are in now.

As to getting the comfort, yes the bike can be made to fit you better. I did my seat first, big help. Pegs are next. Then putting risers on the bars will finsh it off. I already have eliminate my wrist and forearm fatigue. Working on my leg fatigue with the pegs. I still ride my Magna and love her as much as ever for what she is, but she and the Busa are nowhere near each other for the reasons you own them. Busas are built for speed and comfort. Crusiers are built for slow and purty riding....:-)

Easiest way to make a Busa way more comfy.
1. Buy some lowering dogbones and set the ride height to the middle setting.
2. Get some type of bar risers.
3. Get some aftermarket footpegs or spend the cash and buy an aftermarket set of footcontrols. I recommend Vortex or Harris as you can adjust the pegs 1" down&back.
4. Get some good gel grips
5. Get a double bubble windscreen. Either Zero Gravity or Puig, though the Puig screen works better FYI.
6. Get a good seat like a Corbin or have one done by Tobin seats.

This may sound like alot but it's not. Honestly you could do all off this for under $500. Less if you buy used parts. This will transform your busa into something more ridable. Though if your going the corner carver high speed route, i'd leave off the Corbin and lowering links.
