the destroyer is a purpuse built bike to run a specific race class...

and for $30k - $40k is quite cheap if you were to look at what it would cost to build a 9 second HD.....

the coolest thing about the class was if your bike was protested, they would test it and if it was making too much hp, they would confiscate it and give you another one.

Actually, I raced a VRod with my first Gen VMax and it wasn't even close. Both were stock bikes. My VMax even still had stock exhaust. I am sure my 2nd gen Vmax and Busa would have no trouble trouncing a VRod if the early VMax can.

VRod gets no respect because it shouldn't. Harley didn't build it (Porsche did) and it still lacks any real performance and costs to much!

Just my opinion.
