Exactly. Because if just anyone could read the tune other tuners could steal the work other shops did.

Thanks guys - this is what I expected. A comment on the video from 2WDW raised the question when he said something about "seeing what other tuners have done".

So I’m taking this as when a tuner “opens” the ECU they can NOT see what changes another tuner has made to the ECU? And if so what does this say about his statement because he seems to be very clear in his vids (if I can recall) about said changed air/fuel/spark that other tuners have made.

Maybe he’s reading a/f ratio at a certain rpm and throttle position and then be able to extrapolate what changes another tuner has made.
