HATING THOSE STOCK ZX14s!

Pretty impressive numbers. Still think the Hayabusa has the looks, and maybe with Suzuki getting back into MotoGP, they'll be increasing the performance of their overall line.

Sadly as I have stated elsewhere, Kawy is way ahead on the busa and has been for years. The latest 14 is so far ahead in all areas and Kawy motors are pretty tough n my experience.

BUT , the bike is so fuggin fugly.

it is a good thing, or no busa's would sell lol...

To go really fast through out of a courve you need 110 bhp good suspension and big enought balls in your pants...

Busa is great for curving .... if i'd like to travel in a strait line i'd choose a chopper ..

beautiful machine and numbers but not enough to give up my girl. let's keep the "hyper class" alive.
Same here. I own the 08 busa and the 08 ZX-14.

Love the 14 but the busa is more sport and that is why own sportbikes.....performance. Ther will cone a day in a few years when Suz will make the next Gen busa. if it holds true to Hayabusa lineage it will edge out the 14r in hp/tq while still handling much better. Same as always. I might buy a new bike a couple years after the Gen 3 Hayabusa arrives.

mod what you have and you will be way ahead of the new 14r. Mods are what this game is all about. I really am much more fascinated with modding that any new bike.

haha, I didn't read the entire thread. I see I'm not the only one who knows THE TRUTH.

actually, if I got a new bike I would get a 600. With a decent rider, that will destroy any 14 or busa on almost any track and pretty much for sure on the street.

hp/tq has it's place if you race from a dig but lightweight is pretty tough to contend with for cornering.

Dyno's don't win races...

I'm still waiting for a ZX14R to beat my 1-mile speed that I ran on a little 1340cc stock engine years ago...

Now I've got more than double the power of any stock bike and only need to swap Turbo's for a 100whp+ more, I'm not worried about anything Kawi has to offer... :beerchug:

I'm sure all you guys know I am a die-hard Busa guy and am not afraid of any other bike including the new ZX14s or BMWs. At the same time, I knew posting would bring some of the haters out, that's why the title says "HATING THOSE STOCK ZX14s" Since POWERHOUSE tunes and builds anything, we like to stay on top of the latest. This info was posted FYI and amusement. Yes, the ZX14 is one fugly bike, but it does make some ponies and we hope Slowsuki corp gets off their :moon: 's and responds with a 1500cc monster motor, instead of messing with the aero's. And GNBrett . . . you are going to see an RCC Stage One and Stage Two production turbo system for the newest ZX14 very soon . . . testing has already been done, and we are seeing some nice numbers already . . .

might not be a "cc" race.

remember years ago when a V8 made 200bhp
A modest VXR1.6corsa makes 190 today.

The busa still rules over the Kway as those that can afford these bikes know that the Busa internals handle modifications FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR better than the Kwak £/bhp.

Its all about willy waving and Im sorry for the Kwak boys but when you show yours to us and you whip out yer new model..... you still get spanked when we add the extras.. that add up to the same as you have already after adding them to get somewhere near us :)

thanks
captain Viagra..... (300cc worth :p )

That wasn't at Texas but if you want to get technical there are still about a half dozen faster than her on a stock engine Gen-II Busa without BST wheels at Texas and Loring. If you really want to split hairs, Valerie did 212mph in 1-mile on a S1000RR....so again, NOT worried about anything Kawi builds and never will be...

I'm NOT worried about none of it...this is all so comical ..this is just too easy :stirpot:

out of curiosity what do head/cam gen 2 busas put down on your dyno? Particularly carpenter racing if u had any of them on there.

The dynos around here read really low and its hard to compare #s :p

i'm losing sleep on a day to day basis. this is killin' me to say the least.

It's always nice to know who is behind you!

We have done several Carpenter builds and can tell you that his 220 rwhp package puts down usually somewhere from 208-212 on our dyno. Our electronics are updated every year, we test our O2 sensors for calibration prior to tuning, and have the latest in data acquisition, along with multiple O2s and other spare parts. Our dyno and it's accuracy are central to our business - many of our customers can attest to the fact that ours is not a "happy" dyno . . . :cheerleader:
