Not knocking just asking.
Does the Penske come with some kind of mount. Looks cheap just being held on by metal straps.
That is what Penske supplies because most people put Penske race shocks on race bikes not show bikes. If we alter the strap they supplied and it falls off and something bad happens as a result we are screwed. Our insurance is almost $1400.00 per month, wish we could run a cheapo shop out of our home garage but thats not the case at HPC. We were highly advised by our legal team to bolt on what the manufactuers supply only. That is what we do.

Damn insurance salesmen will get ya everytime!

That was gay!

(GPW @ Feb. 09 2007,19:31) Key word is properly lowered. Drag shock Penske three way adjustable drag shock in the rear tuned for sport riding and drag forks tuned for sport riding with beefed up springs, valving and race fluid to tote around Big George's butt....oh yeah your tag relocater will be done tonight....per our insurance company we cannot remove any manufacturers warnings and information so the decals are still there for George to remove. Would have yanked them but to toss away a legit business for a decal......your bike looks lets take it out back tough.

We also added the "Enhanced by Hyperbike Performance Centers" badge, you earned it....thanks for your business....
You're the man!

Awesome ... I'm rolling by there tomorrow to take a peek and I will see you all on Sunday. I'm sure you're going to be just as happy as I was with Greg's professional service, professional skills, his attention to every little detail. I'm lucky to have him in my back yard!!

***UPDATE*** It's 18:45 EST and the guys just crossed the NJ line after picking up Busazilla. Stay tuned

Is the bike in the trailer, or riding in front of it. Maybe the bike already made it home??

Not to steal George's report but I heard what a guy in my shoes lives for in this business. After a freezing cold test ride, "it is a night and day difference over stock". That my friends is all the results one needs to hear. I want to personally thank BigGeorge for having the faith and the desire to have me work on his Hayabusa and for bypassing the many shops between MA and MD to get here. His bike was the first full mild make-over project completed in my shop. We have two major Turbo/Nos combo bikes we will be putting together next month. We are also prepping two bikes for the Texas Mile in March.....with the goal of breaching 200 mph with an all motor and lightweight parts build and a 300 hp....Turbo bike owned by a member here.

I am sure we will post many more completed bikes over the next couple of months leading up to bike season. As an active board sponsor and avid motorcyclist I look forward to the challenge of getting better at this stuff each day until in the end we can be considered "one of the best" won't settle for anything less, thats my goal. I hope to share my experiences with many of you along the way.

Would you post an estimate of the cost for that suspension.

It will confirm my reason for drooling at these pics.

BigGeorge got some special pricing as a positive member of the org. The front and rear was built to our spec request to the tee. The average Joe could spend $1345.00 for the front and rear Penske not including dis-mount and mount. Once mounted the sag and settings were all dialed in properly with an undermount Sprint steering damper added to the handling package with our spec weight oil. A lowered bike that can still handle was my goal and we hit the nail on the head.

Thanks, my goal is to keep my 300lb arse from slapping the ground with a "healthy" passenger on the back.

I love the look and feel of a lowered bike, but its not possible for me to ride low with the factory gear

My budget is a major factor so I have been doing some homework.

To be honest if you are on a low budget we are not your specialty shop. You will certainly find it cheaper elsewhere. After spending over $80,000 in motorcycle mods in the last 23 years of riding and $125,000 on my own business and performance based shop.

Cheaper is not always attached to quality. From a guy who can ride very well, the guys that know, do suspension mods long before everything else. Before someone works on my bike they should be able to ride so they can understand what it is I want out of my machine. I tend to value a riders perspective vs. a guy that builds their version of a show bike but thats just me.

hey! Im building a 'show bike'....

Understood, thats why I have not jumped and I listen to the people who know.

George and I spoke today and I know that if I had the finances I'd go this route.

But I would love to find the options for those of us who cant drop the big bucks.

Thanks for taking time to help us out.

I cant support you with my budget but I will spread the good word.

Just FYI -

If I see any mud slinging and slamming from anyone, I am not going to take sides, I am just going to delete the post.

I dont have sides, I usually dont take sides but it is bothering me the back and forth bickering...

So be forewarned, if you spend 30 minutes typing of a long post that I feel is neggative, it will have been a waste of time because I am going to whack it.

Please keep the personal stuff in PM's. or phone calls and do not bicker in public. It can go on and on and on and it doesnt need to..

So please be nice everyone....
