Yesterday at 2am I take off from my house with my Busa in tow and pull up at Brendan's house around 4am. Friggin snow storm at Brendan's house when I get there. A gas stop and 2 coffee stops laters we're on our way to pickup Kevin (monster) in Conneticut around 7am. Another coffee stop and we're back on the highway. Smooth sailing for several states, a little congested in New Jersey.
9 or so hours after I had picked up Brendan we get off the highway in Frederick, MD and pull up to Hyperbike. Greg had opened the shop for us and DJ was there waiting with him.
Man, I gotta tell you that photos don't do Greg's place any justice. The place is spotless and the only words that comes to mind his "high end". It's the kind of atmosphere that makes you feel comfortable leaving your bike there. It's also the kind of atmosphere that makes you want to spend money
And it didn't take long for me to do just that! Besides all the suspension work that I had Greg doing for me, I had been contemplating a full TiForce exhaust, but the price was holding me back. So I was considering Tsukigi slipons - and Greg's price for those were unbeatable. But when Greg fired up DJ's bike with a full Tsukigi Spec II Full Race System, I was sold. And the next thing I knew I was upgrading to the same system with an oval can.
So here's the end result of my 800 mile hor project:
Axxion 20/20 front
Penske 8981 rear shock
Sprint steering damper
A fresh set of Avons mounted and balanced... 200 rear/120 front
Puig dark DB
Tsukigi Racing Spec II Full Race Exhaust System
PC III - Dyno'd and map
Shogun Sliders
Install of my Soupy links and Pitbull swingarm plate relocator
The price - Tremendously reasonable!
We'll be making the trip back to Hyperbike in 2-weeks to pick her up!
A big thanks to Greg and his wife for making us feel at home!
More pics soon!
