Hauling my Busa to see GPW

Here's another shot of the traffic in NY. There was a guy on a Harley in 40° weather.

We got started BigGeorge's bike first thing this morning. Started off with a baseline dyno run before any performance mods: On our Dynojet 250i we pulled a stock 148.90 max power and 91.58 max torque: SAE corrected. We added a Tsukigi Spec II Stainless/Stainless Oval, Royal Purple "Max Cycle", BMC Race air filter, Power Commander, Small air box mod w/four short velocity stacks and a HPC custom map session. Well Big-George is happily sitting with 160.46 max hp... and 97.21 foot pounds of torque. A serious seat of the pants improvement with solid dyno results. The improvement numbers are of my concern, is the bike making more power or not. Clearly is....

Starting on the cosmetic mods tomorrow and the suspension work is also under way. Some pics from today....geese I thought it was snowing out. We are busy here at HPC.

I hope so, a honest 12 hp increase and 5.7 foot pounds of torque is a measurable increase....

Now thats funny....I'll bust his stones in the morning..in his hairy defense...anyone that can put up with my demanding a++ needs a break. He already told me he works in fear, afraid to drop something on the floor...got our second lift in today so we are rocking and rolling..I am happy with the numbers as well. I say my dyno is a little stingy but I would rather have accurate SAE numbers vs...the mumbo jumbo I have used in the past from "happy" dyno machines. The before and after looks really good....I will tweak it some more tomorrow..we may try one of the Pipercross foam "race" filters coming in as well.

12 ponies n 6-ish lb-ft is a major improvement! way to go! Just for reference BigG-dynoed my bike back in late summer 1st year I had it ('05) it was hella humid n 80+ at the track (first time dragging) I rolled it into a portable dyno-guy in front of me rolled in a Honda RC51; did 138@ wheels i think....got the beast strapped down n I pulled 152hp (this was before my BMC filter n airbox mod tho) with the HMF system I have.

dunno what elevation HPC is sittin on, but I was 'down in da valley' where I raced...had to be close to sea level in case you Engineers out there are crunching numbers to correct

Great lookin place Greg-Im hoping to make a trip out there when the snow melts with Amy for some "work" (at least that what George calls it
firedevil.gif
) with BigG....DEFINITELY gonna stop thru n show luv-planning on lettn you rub a lil magic oil into my shocks...susp. is old n I been throwin my big azz in the saddle....she needs a lil TLC in that dept. for sure. Not a canyon-carver tho, Im a straight-liner so hope you got some good Drag set-ups that will be okay for street use, or better yet, two diff. settings so I dont BOUNCE Amy off the back! LoL

cant wait for the next chapter in this lil daytime drama!
