(GPW @ Jan. 30 2007,19:32) We got started BigGeorge's bike first thing this morning. Started off with a baseline dyno run before any performance mods: On our Dynojet 250i we pulled a stock 148.90 max power and 91.58 max torque: SAE corrected. We added a Tsukigi Spec II Stainless/Stainless Oval, Royal Purple "Max Cycle", BMC Race air filter, Power Commander, Small air box mod w/four short velocity stacks and a HPC custom map session. Well Big-George is happily sitting with 160.46 max hp... and 97.21 foot pounds of torque. A serious seat of the pants improvement with solid dyno results. The improvement numbers are of my concern, is the bike making more power or not. Clearly is....
Starting on the cosmetic mods tomorrow and the suspension work is also under way. Some pics from today....geese I thought it was snowing out. We are busy here at HPC.
I hope so, a honest 12 hp increase and 5.7 foot pounds of torque is a measurable increase....(monster @ Jan. 30 2007,16:41)(GPW @ Jan. 30 2007,19) We got started BigGeorge's bike first thing this morning. Isn't that yours(warbrown @ Jan. 17 2007,16:16) That sure is a purdy red Busa in that one shot.
Now thats funny....I'll bust his stones in the morning..in his hairy defense...anyone that can put up with my demanding a++ needs a break. He already told me he works in fear, afraid to drop something on the floor...got our second lift in today so we are rocking and rolling..I am happy with the numbers as well. I say my dyno is a little stingy but I would rather have accurate SAE numbers vs...the mumbo jumbo I have used in the past from "happy" dyno machines. The before and after looks really good....I will tweak it some more tomorrow..we may try one of the Pipercross foam "race" filters coming in as well.(brendanp @ Jan. 30 2007,18:09)you da mann Greg...
