Have u noticed the increased LEO presence?

When Amode and i rode to Monterey several weeks ago for the MotoGP races I have never seen so many LEO's practicing their trade. I know that I have read several articles in Sportsrider and on-line articles about how the LEOs are really out trying to get the riders to take it down a couple of notches.
Here is my questions? Do u feel the extra heat? How much extra heat is being applied due to guys posting up, on Utube, their exploits? Myself, I have never seen so much heat in the last couple of months on the hwy...and I believe that a directive from CHP (chippies) headquarters has come out directing that they get the sportsriders to cool it after so many blazen exploits on the hwy...your remarks..insights...solicited

Every time I go to work I see them everywhere

Cant see the forest through the trees huh

I havent really noticed anything here, seems like its predictable as all heck actually. Anytime there is an event at the wineries or farms we see more cops. Anytime there is nice weather on weekends we see an increase but only because there are more bikes and exotics on the roads. Honestly it seems the exotics and HDs get more attention than sport bikes. During the weeks generally, if you know where you can play its fairly safe going here

It's really bad in KC. Both sides. They are out for blood, and they HATE sport riders. Gotta keep those wheels of extortion... err justice, yeah, that's it, JUSTICE turning.

They are busting up bike nights, pulling peeps over for everything, or just nothing at all, don't matter. They'll think of something before they send you on your way, maybe a few things. Running us down like dogs. I won't even ride up to kc anymore. Even if I am legit. I'm done with being harassed by them.

The CHP Monitors Local Sportbike Websites...................Come on Peoples they are not Stupid :rulez:

Ive noticed it for sure, when I first got my Busa, i used its "Busa-ness" every night i rode, This year Ive "busa'd" 3 times, saw cops all 3 times and luck'd out they left me alone when i stopped such behavior.

they cant meet thier quotas anymore...they have to replace the budget somehow. Ooopps sorry they done have quotas. i forgot.

Just earlier tonight I was behind a cop at a light. He was second in line behind an AMG Mercedes. Apparently the Merc owner did not realize a copy was behind him. Light turns green, the AMG rips away from the light - the cop was not impressed and gets on it to catch up. Our local coffers just an increase when he was pulled over half a mile later

They are in force big time in SoCal. It's a big media frenzy here and LEO are camped at all the popular riding places. It was all brought on by that squidly video at Angeles Crest Highway. I expect it will die down over the next few weeks.

You know i want to add to my original statement.....I understand to a certain extent the extra "precautions" but regardless gives them no reason to stop anyone and everyone on a sport bike.

As a further adjustment...i cant stand the stupid squids who just dont think ahead enough to figure out cause and effect ya know?

Yeah it has been an increase here, but we got stupid folks trying to run from the popos here. With that being said we were going down I24 Saturday cruising at about 85 to 90 on a straight and I am the last bike in a group 13. I look in the mirror and I can see to headlights coming up fast. First thought popo is coming to get us then I think about it, we have not passed any on either side of the HWY. They get closer and closer now I see its another group of bikes. They passed us like we where sitting still so they had to be doing at 120 if not more, I was like not out here maybe on a back road or a track where I can see for a distance maybe. When we get to our stop everybody was like they were getting it in right and let it go. Monday I go in for my 0600 PLT SGT meeting and 1SG like before we start there were 2 dumba@# get pulled over and arrested saturday on I24 coming from Nashville he assumed. Then precedes to say they were clocked doing 117 and in a work zone. So you already know what that means more BDE/BN Motorcycle Safety training again. Some of these Soldiers think just because they have dance with the war and came home that they are like unstoppable. Sorry folks just had to vent about it, but now I am like how dumb could they of been and to top it off one of them couldn't even post bail to get out the next day.:whistle:

I have a friend who is a Leo here and he told me that he was told to start "looking out" for sport bike riders. All this because of what those tards did in Dallas a few months ago. We only have a few good twisty roads out here and now they have Leos on them over the weekends.

I am legal and I don't care if they pull me over. They can't give me a ticket for anything so I don't get mad. They can only pull you over but so much.

The increase is not for motorcycles only. They pullin EVERYBODY down here !!! So hide your kids, hide your wife and hide your husband !!!!

Actually I did notice a lot of cops on the road when I got to Monterey. I had been in Yosemite just before that and though I saw a few cops, I didn't see nearly as many as I saw race weekend.:poke:
Plus, I don't think the cops at Yosemite were really interested in sportbike riders, but I saw a lot of folks get pulled over in Monterey. My folks said they saw a group of about seven sandwiched between two cops all getting tickets.

I have noticed more around town during the day, usual hangouts on the highways, i generally dont do too many things involving poor judgement:whistle:

What i have noticed is alot more creative vehicles
Saw a guy pulled over today by a silver grand cherokee with real dark tint and more red and blue strobes than i have ever seen before. Been watching these reality cop shows thinking man i'm glad they all drive chargers or crown vics out here and not tahoes and pathfinders etc... Appears i was wrong:laugh:
