Having a play with Mr B-King

I was thinking I want a sit up strait bike for a second bike and have been looking at B-King and V-Max as the two.
V-max price is just stupid at 18k

he fact that the engine feels a bit strangled compared to the Busa
All I can say is this is only an opinion, The King is far from being strangled.. I find my B King to be faster than my Busa on the bottom end...  Many things can effect how a bike runs.... too many to list but all I can say is don't sell the B King short. Remember your only going by the feel and seat of your pants.  The Busa is no dog but both bikes are made to shine in different ways.  And they both do it well.
It is an opinion that's backed up fact as well dude - the engines restricted to 150 mph - not much fun on the autbahns round here then - you'd have Mercs queuing up behind you

fact? what would you say if I could tell you mine is limited at 160mph? And your right its not an autbahn bike, it was never built to be one. Its a 1/4 mile bike the wind over the front of the bike wants to peal your butt off at 160mph. There is no point in putting a TRE on the B-King for more top speed you can't use it because of the wind blast. did you read what I posted before?

So yes the King is no good for where you live because of the roads you ride. I would run a Busa just like you if I lived there. And Im lucky enough to be able to own both a Busa and a B-King.. In my world of start and stops and straight roads the B- King is a blast.

PS to see 160mph on a king keep in 4th and run it up to red line... wow look at that 160mph! You want more speed on a King thats how to do it. Never run higher than 4th in a drag race...

Having Both a Busa and a B King I would offer Just a couple of proviso's
32 inch inseam no difficulty getting on or off the Bike
Forks are tuned fort he 160lbs class guy and at 235 the dive is certainly there, Re-springing is certainly in My Kings Future
I used Boost By Smith's Re-flashing Kit to pull the limiters out of 2nd and off 5th and 6th (Big change)Love both My Big Suzuki's but htey are very different bikes

A little off topic, Nice day! Beautiful Autumn day on the Emerald Isle.
What's with the billboard of a license plate? Are the police blind? It really screws up your rear end, Yes honey, it makes your ass look huge!

...so, has anybody tried transplanting the ABS system from a BKing into a Busa? Seems like it might work ???

Same engine, same gearing. Should be no difference up to the 155 limiter. But, who goes 155 on a naked bike????? Speed Triple??? I think you have been drinking those fine italian wines...... The King would out acclerate a speed triple like the triple had its brakes on! But, overall a decent review. Awesome brakes, awesome accleration, fantastic ergos, naked look, what else is there?:cheerleader::cheerleader::cheerleader:

I've had a B-King for 3 and half years.
Had 2 faired Busa's and still own a naked Busa.

I dont mind the B-King looks, im a rider,
not a coffee shop show-pony guy.

However much I do like my King, and its GREAT fun,
it fail's in a few area's.

A little 16.5 ltr fuel tank.
Poor riders leg room if your tall.
Not great for pillions, (small high seat, no grab rail) Busa's waaay better.
Its longer and heavier than a Busa !

Not that I know of.

The front end's hardware will swap over,
There are a few B-Kings running Busa legs (different internals)

The non-ABS B-King rear wheel will swap with a Busa's (if you use the cush drive)
but im not sure about the ABS versions ?

I would imagine the electrics wouldn't be simple and the B-King
and Busa's loom's are different.

Yes thank you for the review ,the braking on my little rr1000 is so much better than my 07 busa the 08 busa ,what a shame. One day i should do somthing about that, brembo?

Sorry,

BKing is UGLY. Actually one of the ugliest and most disfunctional bikes I have ever seen. Looks like it comes from a batman cartoon.

At 6'4 my legs line up with the stupid scoop fairing turn signal things on the tank. Not rideable for me and I wonder how short one must be to actually fit the tank.

My first thought after seeing and sitting on one was What were they thinking?

My first thought after seeing my first Hayabusa was "Hello Gorgeous! I'll own one like you some day"

My first thought after riding my K9 for the first time was "holy SH** !!!"

To each his own.

I have a play at the drags sometimes.
Just a bit of fun, im not very good.
I always run 40psi tyres, full height, no burnout wetc etc.
100% street trim ready for a sunday play through the twistys.

After a couple of years running a 2002 and a 2004 Busa,
both stock but for Yoshi end can's, the best I ever ran was a 10.333
(told you I wasnt very good!)

Took the B-King up the strip, 650 miles from new stock as a rock
and ran a 10.339 and several other 10.3's. Easy as! No practice.
The length and weight seem to cancel out the upright position for me.

I would really like to get into a B-King but they are hard to find and i have no money.. Thanks for your post though great pictures.
