yeah i looked it up both are used over there.
only if you buy a import . Uk spec has mph
IF YOU BUY A IMPORT ITS STAMPED ON THE BIKE DOCUMENTS . AND THERE NOT WORTH ALOT OF MONEY .

MPH

NO ONLY IMPORTS . ALL UK BIKES HAS MPH THEY HAVE TO OR THEY WOULD NOT PASS A MOT OVER HERE. if you have kph the speedo must be changed to mph or it wont pass

no no allways been mph. my sports bikes all when turning them on show 186 mph on digital screan . the busa just fills the clock when turning on. alot of imports thats here came from japan mostly 400 sports bikes mini blades etc . they all had kph on there clocks . and the beam lights was on the wrong side so all had to be changed when they came up to there three year mot .

Next time you can count how many teeth are on the rear sprocket. If the previous owner dropped teeth and raised the redline might be why you can do 160mph in 3rd. Also what size rear tire you have?

standered rear tyre 190/50 pirelli angels all round . i can count the teath not a problem on the back can do that now/ only standerd rear sprocket 43

have no video mate to set up on bike . the only way i can do anything about this . after the bike has been put on dino i can post up the read out . he has done a few busas the last k8 busa he did put out 178 at the rear wheel . so i have a giude with his old readouts thats in his computer .

OK but a dyno sheet won't prove everyone wrong. Video would show everyone what gear/speed/rpm that your running at 160mph. Horsepower has nothing to do with that, it just determines how fast you get there

cheers for the welcome ...
well we will have to leave it at that then mate as i dont have any video . but if the bikes reving to 12000 rpm it will show on the dino as i have had all three of my bikes on dino

your better going up three at the rear and downd 1 at the front .
i am just off the phone to the last owner this will clear everything up the bikes ecu has been set up.
they added timing to the lower gears (1-4) in what is often called a "tre" mod. This gives you more aggressive timing on the bottom and better throttle response overall. they remove the top speed limiter, all gear limiters, and raise the rev limit approximately 500 rpm. This would totally "de-restrict" the bike. this is one job am glad has been done . he said you can now go ahead and get it put on to dino .

Good information! I've returned your PM. :beerchug:

cheers .
yes it will help a little on the front lifting so much and you can get the good of the extra power . there nothing worse than the front lifting so soon . better in third gear to start the lifting of the front . its a much better fuzzy buzz thats for sure . try it am sure you will see a good diverance

yes a new guy to a new bike . that you would think would have been made welcome . all i asked was about the busa in third gear never had one but when i kept on reading 160 in third at 12000 rpm was this normal or would the clocks be way out . not to be ripped to shreads .

Your best bet would have been to start an intro thread with a few questions. When you start telling people what the bike is doing and people tell you its not possible STOCK, you don't need to start with the name calling and other BS. If you hadn't figured it out, that's what rubbed people the wrong way when you start throwing twat and other cheerio remarks around when people tried to help. This forum doesn't stand for that and certainly not from someone that's been here for a short time...

well if thats the case the bikes not stock simple as that . i dont know what the man has done before me but am telling you 12000 rpm and no gear light has ever came on with me

Again, that's what people tried to tell you but you acted like you didn't want to hear it... :poke: ...that's why you got the response you did and not the warm welcome you think you are entitled to...

....and it's solved, the bike is NOT STOCK!

You may want to go ahead and buy the ECU flasher and review the software so you can make changes. If the bike has never been on a dyno before then the ECU changes that were made are more than likely wrong/off and need to be fine tuned. Especially if you've added exhaust.

There are a lot of good people on this site, throttle back and pull up a seat. :beerchug:
Start by searching the old threads that have been discussed a hundred times before you start a new topic. 99% of your questions have probably been answered but if you can't find what you are looking for, feel free to ask..

Cheers...

Bandit I already apologized to you and I believe I say I think I believe I did welcome you in your original thread introducing yourself. You started threads asking questions and I simply pointed out things I saw as not right. Mind you I never insulted you until you started on me. Yes nanny nanny boo boo you started it ;)

But I'm a big boy and this is a worldwide site and we welcome Bravehearts such as yourself. I can take it and have taken no offense from anything you've said. I will ask you though to leave 'my little squirt' out of the situation though please as dads sometimes get defensive of their cubs. I hope you do not get yourself banned because being a traveller myself I enjoy the foreign flavor this place invites. I will help you anytime no matter what as I always do for anyone.

Now that being said off to the rock from under you came as you Scots seem to say.....

That was a joke....
Enjoy....
