Being a retired LA cop and a person who both worked many movie sets and did many bodyguard jobs for "movie stars", I find it laughable when, because someone disagrees with your values, you say he has "Hollywood disease".
Make the argument that, because of a persons wealth, they don't understand what poverty or middleclass life is like....and I'll buy that. But to examine Tom Hanks life works (including what he has said and written) and not understand his compassion for humanity AND incredible devotion and respect for the United States military, is simply absurd.
There is a lot more depth and substance coming from "the Hollywood types" than some are willing to admit. Raydog
