Healtech Programmable Brake Light Flasher Module - Yea or Nay?

The brake lights on our bikes are pathetic in my opinion (most bikes for that matter). I've had brake light flashers on other bikes I've owned and feel safer using them.
I came across this Healtech version that has 11 programmable modes and takes 15 minutes to install if you can believe the advertisement.
Anyone have one of these? Do you like it? Easy to install?

Does anyone have a different brand they can recommend?

I have one on my Gen2, unsure of brand as it's buried under the tail. But I have it wired up to the centre brake lights and made up switchbacks for the indicators so I get a sea of flashing red for 5 quick flashes, then solid red

As a side note, when stopped at traffic lights, I will constantly keep flashing it until the car behind has come to a complete stop. All the while ready to get the hell out of the way if they still miss it.

They taught us to do that in my MSF course back in 1997. Pulse the brake light when you're stopped at a red light. I do it still until there are at least two cars stacked up behind me. Always in gear ready to scoot like you said too. It's been 28 years and thankfully I haven't had any incidents at a traffic light.

I do the same thing(never knew they taught that in a msf, I never took one)...and would be terrified to ride without mirrors(I see quite afew bikes without them).
I've had to do a dragstrip launch from a stop, to keep from being run over by someone speeding behind me, and she would've ran me over in her Durango had I just sat there.

I was 19yo and in Florida if you're under 21 you're required to take it to get your motorcycle endorsement. The only time I've been arrested was for riding without my M endorsement on my license. FHP Trooper Ross was a prick! lol

Arrested for it!
Wow!
Here, at the worst they'll just ticket you, impound the bike, and leave you on the side of the road for spite, lol, I've seen it happen.
Not to say they couldn't or wouldn't arrest you, but in most cases(several of my unlicensed friends), they may or may not give you a ticket, and will sit there until someone shows up with a trailer, or a licensed rider to ride it home for you.

No he got out the cuffs and the tow truck they sent wasn't a flatbed either. Remember those old school ones that had the lift arm in the back with the big rubber sheets on it. They hung my bike from chains from that arm. I was pissed! It was a 1981 GS850G si she was a tough girl but still. Then I had to bail myself out rather than sit there over the weekend. All the judge had me do was take the MSF course and after that he threw everything out.

I hate to see cops and tow drivers damage bikes.
So it was a police chase? Ok...but it was the rider, not the bike.
But just for no license, and they're ok if they damage your bike in the process, it's pretty shameful on those cops part, and they just help the rest of them look bad.

Anyway, back to the original question - anyone running a brake light flasher module? Which one?
How hard to install on a Gen 3?

What about a headlight modulator?

You can't use a headlight modulator on the Gen3 as the Gen3 uses an LED bulb for the headlight. I wish we could.

A headlight modulator needs a incandescent bulb with a filament as the way it works is it pulses the current so technically the bulb is not turning off and on but rather has the current modulated or pulsed - thus making Headlight Modulators legal in all 50 states. A Headlight Modulator can also be manually turned off, and it's wired into the high beam.

Have used a Signal Dynamics headlight modulator on my previous three Hayabusas and two Z1000s and my TL1000R.

I used the Healtech brake light modulator on my last Gen2. It does work. And it's better than stock. I also used Signal Dynamics LED Hyperlights at the same time so both at the same time.

Hyper-Lites for the license plate, and a Healtech modulator for the primary brake light flasher. The Hyper-Lites can also be wired as turn signals.

Can see all the install pics here:

I'm currently running a Skene kit on the Gen3 which i think is even better than the Healtech & Signal Dynamics combo setup I ran on the last Hayabusa.

I went with this kit: the Skene kit functions as an additional brake light, turn signals, and running light. It has a constant flicker rate that is very noticeable.
