Heart Attack

Thanks all for the thoughts. Getting moved into icu here soon. Not sure when I’ll be able to get back on but I’ll have my wife update the thread. Not sure how we will make do but it will happen. I think that’s my biggest fear. Oh well. No more boo hoos. All of yall have been family and I love you guys for that. If the worst happens, know that this place was always special and you guys rock.

Signing off

(Out of pie)

remember to pray on steady doctors ~ for Jerry this morning *
Good Morning GIF by All Better

and he gets PIE *

Surgery began at 8:40am. They are closing him up now. He did really well. Now I will await a visit from the Dr. for details and then get to see SSGT_B. (I cannot confirm or deny if there will be pie waiting for him.)
Goodness, that's a long time under the knife . . . over 5 hours, ouch!
So glad to hear it's gone well, let Gerry know we are all waiting for a report from him k.

8:40 and you posted at 2P. That's a pretty long stretch. Let us know the docs prognosis.

He will probably be ICU for a couple of days.

i'm afraid Diet change is required, yes you can exercise but its 80% what you put in your mouth. Heart disease is life style and diet

well done for the operation now the hard work starts for the future.. :D

but cardio exercise is important the heart is a muscle use it or lose it.

i found cycling really good for cardio - my sleeping bpm is now 40 to 45 , my usual resting pulse is low 50 bpm and can still raise my heart rate to 170 bpm on occasions
