The 4.6/5.4 are basically the same engine(as long as they are the same gen).
The previous design had more plug issues than the 3v.
The trucks/expidition tended to have more plug issues also.
The rear plugs were under the windsheild cowling and over time tended to accumulate more moisture.
More of the trucks also blew those rear plugs and threads out while running too.
5.4 and 4.6 2v motors had the plug spit out issue. No antiseize and torque to 28lbs solved that issue. 3v motors used 2 pc plugs that broke off when removing. Soak in pb blaster overnight before removing and replace with 1 pc aftermarket plugs
pretty much all the big forums like moddedmustangs and svtp have a ton of worthless people, theres a group people that stick to tech and give good advice, so usually if you stay out of the general areas youll be fine.
