I did a quick search, but didn't see anything so if there is a good thread on this, feel free to direct me to it. I moved from Cali to a small town in the midwest and the closest (reliable) service center is 2 hours away. My qustion is, Is it difficult to change the oil and filter on my 2006 myself?

I have the tools and am fairly inclined mechanically, I just have never changed the oil/filter on a Busa. Thanks in advance to anyone that can help. I can take some flaming too! I can handle it!

easily done...ive never worked on a bike (only cars)..and it took me about an hour from start to finish.

you can do it! just dont strip your plug :p

I will warn you, the first time is just aggravating because you're being so careful to remove the plastics, then put 'em back on...it seems to take forever...

I have done it so much, I can change it and have everything back together and riding in 15 minutes...just be careful to not strip the drain plug when tightening, and if you don't want oil on the pipes, lay aluminum foil across them before you remove the filter...

Nice tip. Thanks VaBusa! I'm ok if it takes time, hanging in the garage with the tunes on working on the Busa isn't so bad ah!

i was hoping you were gonna say Kc area, then i could have helped ya out
