when I bought my first busa in 07 ,it was an 06 model the first owner only did 15000 kms on it. When I traded it in on the 2011 I had ticked over 185000 km. Did the cam chain at 110000 kms and rebuilt the starter motor at 140000kms ,as far as I'm aware the bikes still going strong ,slightly larger rider though.
I have over 94,000 miles on my 2008 Hayabusa. Purchased the new bike in January of 2008.Who has the highest miles on their hayabusa? I came from the SV forums and several people are over 100,000 miles. Two guys have over 130,000 ..
Just wondering if I should expect similar from a hayabusa.
From what I've read, the 250cc's tend to do 50k miles before needing rebuilds, and the SV (650s) are 100k. So I'm wondering if there's diminishing returns on even larger engines, or if the 1300cc engine can go 200k and beyond.
I did a search and didn't see any high mileage threads.

My '99 has 103000kms and still runs perfectly (after a lot of catchup maintenance since I got her at 74000kms) producing 160rwhp so yeah, bullet proof motor very low stress, ya just don't need to rev them.
"don't need to rev them"???
You feelin alright?
Over here we tend to run out of road:-)"don't need to rev them"???
