Honda\'s Revenge - 1600cc 250BHP!!! Bye,bye Busa\'s

Come on now it is only a joke and anyone busa bashing should be able to have a sense of humor. Cause their sense of reality is a little abused.

I hope everybody understands that the ZX12 site will not even have a single riding(ZX12)member until the middle of next year so they do not a bike to be proud of. It is a figment of their imagination.

So a suggestion for them is to purchase a little Bus(Y2K gsxr750) and go and ride instead of waiting,,,,,waiting,,,,,,and waiting!

Have you ever noticed how close the eyes are together on these ZX12r owners. Something to do with breeding.

Disclaimer: If you don't like it go back to ZX12r site and do a family tree.

How does one change one's site name, to, say, Dr. MegaCycleDeth? Maybe someone could call me that in hushed tones in front of my grade school teacher.

I wonder what 212-or 215 looks like on my radar screen ?? I may have to wear ear plugs just for the high pitch noise it'll make in my patrol car

Now after reading one of the postings on the Hayabusa Registry from a Busa owner I'm not so sure. It was posted on 7/27 from an x-cop in WY who said he couldn't get a reading from the front due to the lack of surface to bounce the beam back but he could track and read his Busa from the REAR - he hit 186mph at 7200ft elevation. I've heard this exact scenario aboout radar readings before. Is it possible the local cop who claims he clocked me (from the front only) was making up a speed in order to write me up? YOU BET IT IS. They have manufactured things before to stop me in my cars. I hope someone can provide some additional information to clear this up including type of radar used (X, K, KA) Until then I'll keep using my Valentine One - DON'T LEAVE HOME WITHOUT IT.

No I'm not affiliated with V1 or anything - just tired of speed taxes for minimal offenses on lightly traveled roads against safe riders. We really should start a NEW topic for this.

Look at the stealth technology. Radar depends on the beam getting reflected BACK. Stealth fighters have crazy surface areas to deflect the beam in all directions but BACK. LOOK at the front of your busa and see which beams would get reflected BACK. This is not as crytic as you might think. The same refection rules that apply when you play pool apply here. ALSO... radar depends on a certain amount of signal reflected back to give adequate signal strength. Reflected signals are much weaker than the initial signal. The greater cross area that reflects back the signal, the greater the signal strength. A flat faced tractor trailer 1/2 mile behind you will reflect back as much signal as your bike. Don't be bluffed! If there are several cars behind or on the side of you, THIER SIGNAL, NOT YOURS, will get reflected back. Use this knowledge in your defense.

Hey COP161, There is an unsubstantiated rumor that speed radar can't detect a Busa coming toward them. There's something about the aero surfaces not reflecting the microwave beam. The only way to get a speed reading is to shoot them in the back?

IS THIS TRUE or internet bulls***.

Would you tell us if it were true?

I regret to inform you that it is NOT true. I tell you this based on personal experience. I wish that it were true since I would not be over $200 lighter in the wallet if it were. :)

If the Busa is slicker against Radar..(That would be Friggin Cool)..But it's not it still has a cross section,,if it is even the least bit Stealth..then the Ram air scoops would be the biggest thing being picked up on radar together with your front wheel. Plus the "Doppler Tone" that a bike doing in the 100's must be so High pitched that even a cop who just had a Dozen Boston creams from D&D will wake up and snag you.

The Busa is Not an F-117,,it's not a B-2,,it's not an F-22,,well maybe an F-22 speed wise..on take off anyway..but you will get whacked faster on Radar, than you can say.."BUT OFFICER, I WAS JUST BREAKING HER IN" All I can Say is Good luck & Ride safe

Cop161. I assume "get wacked faster" means that you CAN get a good return off a Busa'. Have you tried your bike against your radar?

We are talking about "fair treatment" here not trying to find ways to beat the law. I have wondered how they get the speed numbers that they do. Both ways, slower and faster.

Thanx man. Welcome to our Forum.
