How big is your garage?

Our garage is around 750 sq ft. with 11+ ft. ceilings and is no where big enough to keep all our stuff in. Well, at one point it was but you know how "stuff" is, it keeps multiplying.

Something that looks great, and protects the floor is a special industrial coating by PPG industries. You have to use a respirator when you are mixing and applying this product. But it is very tough. I mixed in some of the colored sprinkles you can find a Lowes / Home Depot etc. It is a lot more durable than what is touted as garrage floor coatings. Only thing that can touch it is if the concrete slab cracks.

Yes, mine is full of clutter I'm told, but I know right where everything is.

I have 3 garages all about 672sf each, 2/3 are a mess right now...lol
Were doing some remodeling and one is full of office furniture and other random crap. I have a plan to have them all cleaned and organized by March.

i dont have a garage... just a shelter for the bikes in an out of the way area...
so...
u lucky!

We have been blessed with a full unfinished basement below our cape code style house to house everything we have indoors :please:

One half is the double garage and the other half is the bike and work area that is currently housing my wrecked TLR (but has new pipes now :cheerleader:).

It is not very cluttered but that is mainly because I have not had the time to obtain all of the goodies and tools that I eventually will have.

Why is it that the bigger your garage is, the more CRAP you acquire? I bought the first house we looked at for our first house based solely on the size of the garage. Now I regret it. When I had a small 1 to 1 1/2 car garage it was SO organized because it HAD to be, now my garage is 1250 square feet, and I want to puke when I go into it! GRRRRRR.....
I love seeing pics of guys garages with drywall, paint, painted floors, cabinets, etc in there, but it would cost me a fortune to drywall mine, and cabinets would be pricey too.
I'm not looking for pity for having a big garage, but does EVERYONE have this problem, or am I just "lucky"? :banghead:

Actually you can drywall it for not much money.

I ended up doing epoxy for my floor and it turned out great! Epoxy Paint For Garage Floors – Epoxy-Coat.com

Paint was really cheap and it depends what cabinets you want. Lowe's, Sears, etc. have a 50% off sale on most of there cabinets once or twice a year so you can get some deals.

I'd say you can have a really nice garage for less than $2k or even $1k depending what you want if you put in the labor...

My Garage is 40 x 80 feet :laugh::laugh:

I went from having a 1 car with a car that had to be garage to a oversized 2 car that has a built in bench/work area/shelving up front Its not bad, only downfall to this house i had was i cant go down the side of the house and theres a family room behind the garage, i may eventually knock out that room, enclose it from the house and make it a bike/workshop area...Wife says no which is only reason its not done. You guys are luck you aquire junk i aquire friends cars now that i have room and then have to store em till they pay me for the work that got done???

It has a swamp cooler but i also have like the 2 story vaulted ceiling and 10% of it is drywalled, i'd say about 40% is insulated but the ceiling isnt, little by little i'm gettin insulation up and hoping to do the drywall this summer

Lots of magic happens in there, Juan!

As for me, I went from a 1500 sq foot garage/shop to an all most limitless garage. The great outdoors is my garage now. I do miss the smaller one from time to time.
